the key is just getting into the playoffs b/c as st. louis proved last year, any team can win it if their pitchers get hot at the right time.
Thats true, but don't you see their play now as false hope? They aren't beating anyone good, their bats *should* be beating up on these pitchers. Do you really think they are better than the Indians?
Aside from Sabathia the Indians pitching is really weak and so is their bullpen. The only guy that legitimately scares me in that lineup is Hafner too.
Sizemore is a very good player too.
The Indians don't scare anybody. The Yankees still do.
I didnt mention Sizemore because he doesn't scare me, mainly because he's single/doubles hitter with only guy behind him that will get him home. Sizemore is a tremendous hitter and fielder but at this point, if you a mistake to Hafner you are going to be regretting it alot more than you are going to be if you made that same mistake to Sizemore.
Trust me, Sizemore is a guy I want the on the Yankees. He is tailor-made for this offense and for the 3spot with the guys that would be hitting behind him.

I hear what you're saying. Hafner is the main guy in their lineup. But Sizemore and Martinez can hurt you just as much.
The Indians have a nice lineup and a good team. But if you match them up to the Yankees, the Yankees are still the better team. The Indians have a much tougher schedule and I think they'll have a hard time holding off the Yankees or Red Sox for the wildcard.
Because of the blizzard in Cleveland earlier in the season, the Indians are going to have to play a brutal stretch of 26 straight games without a day off, starting in the middle of August. Those games include games against Detroit (3), Minnesota (6), White Sox (6) and LA Angels (4). I predict, that will be the end of the Indians season.
