I voted Marbury.
Not because of his shoes, or his Italy thing.
But because he is a complete moron who has been given the defacto captaincy of these
team, when no other player with half a brain could possibly be lead by this mental

I'd break it down in this order:

1.) Stephon
Negative: He's already a distraction. 10 years into his career he still thinks not shooting is considered running an offense. He's still learning like a first or 2nd year player would be learning. His learning the position will be crucial to determining how Zach and Eddie develop. Also, It's obvious know that the team is transitioning(however slowly) away from him. Will he respond like he has in the past to situations like this.

Positive: Maybe, just maybe he can be a quick study. He's a good basketball player, so if he does start to understand the PG position he could be a terror for other teams. Maybe, just maybe the shoe thing will do for his oncourt ego what it hasn't done to his oncourt ego.

Eddie
Negative-Possibly Coming into camp overweight, yet again. Giving us nothing at the center position on nights he is not the focal point on offense. It could be like playing 4 on 5 on some nights. You can say, well on those nights we just play Balkman or Leeinstead. And my question would be, why would you give up 2 lottery picks for a guy that on some nights you have to replace with role players.

Positive-No matter how bad he is at the other things, he is always going to be a beast down low. That will never cease to be a factor.

Zach
Negatives-Has said that he is done making mistakes, so obviously there are no negatives.

Nate-He can be replaced in the rotation and line-up in a heartbeat without affecting the make-up of the team. IF he becomes a negative factor you have to look to the coaching staff.

Fans and Media-Are always tough in NY. They haven't changed for thousands of years and aren't going to change. This is why management needs to target players because they can handle the pressure of playing in NY, not because the player reminds management of the simple life in Utah or the mean streets of the South Side of Chicago. They must be able to handle NY. Fans and media are a big factor and a negative influence when you have a team that loses focus on what it takes to win games.

Craw-Other than taking bad shots and not play d(like the rest of the team) can he really be considered a "cancer"?

Furthermore, I don't recall seeing an open letter from the unanimous fans
in the newspaper demanding that he not rebuild... or else!

Awww. Poor team. Did they get booed? Maybe it would help if they didn't get
blown out by 20+ points in the first half of so many games that the fans paid
a LOT OF MONEY to see. Here's an idea. If the team loses by more than 10 points,
the fans get a refund. Guarantee you'll see fans cheering whether the team wins or loses.

he's not... neither are the fans or Eddy Curry... Marbs & Nate are the only real disruptive forces on this team because of their antics on & off the field... the media only reports what's obvious to anyone who watches this team... not sure how you can include them in this survey either... whether Zach will be a festering hemorrhoid or not is yet to be seen, but players don't usually change their spots so drastically... i guess it's remotely possible that he'll be a positive influence on the young kids, but history tells me i shouldn't hold my breathe on that one.

Yeah it's a tough poll to answer. All those guys have potential issues that can affect us. But when I think of cancer I think of disruptive forces. For me Marbs obvious most potential for this. Nate possibly, but because he is redundant he can be marginalized. Zach is a mystery and could be one, one day. But you have to give him the benefit of the doubt at this point.

And, by the way, who in God's holy name had a better all around season on this team than Stephon Marbury? Doesn't this roster offer more promise than any we've seen in almost a decade? And all you want to think about is "who's the biggest CANCER?" What the hell does that even mean?
