David stern has ruined the NBA. He focuses on what the players do so hard yet forgets to keep and eye on his devil spawn refs.

David stern needs some marbury treatment.

Can we trust the refs again? How many times have the refs or league rules screwed the knicks over?

Knicks should get a bonus pick or maybe get a salary dump that the league would pay off.

David stern is a caca head.

Simple solution -- Instant Replay. Unless all three game refs are working with the mob this stuff wouldn't happen. Plus its pretty indisputable.

Stern's not all bad. He took over when this legue was in the middle of a drug scandal. He weathered the 97 bench clearing brawl between Miami and NY that started to no leaving the bench rule, which was later tested in Detroit. He'll pull the league through this.

Do you know how much guys like donahgy effects the outcomes fantasy basketball games during a week.

Stern is contraversial, but the NBA has been very successful under his watch (it reached the height of its popularity) and b/c his watch.

Stern is contraversial, but the NBA has been very successful under his watch (it reached the height of its popularity) and b/c his watch.

mlb has survived the steroids scandal as ratings are up (and breaking records). attendance is up as well.

and now they are expanding into china. selig tho said he's retiring in 2009.

bettman worked for stern and was hired b/c of that. he then proceeded to do a very bad job as the nhl never recovered from the strike of 1995.

stern is still making his owners ALOT of money.

Selig's presided over years of labor strife (we lost a World Series!) and a loss of popularity, that was only recovered from a steroid infused home run chase.

Take away Michael, Magic, Bird, and half of the 50 greatest players to ever play the game under his watch and Stern's resume is a freakin footnote. I've never seen a more overrated Commish. He's done things that by default others would have done if given the position, meanwhile has ignored all the red flags in the world of things he should and should not be doing, that even the casual fan can recognize. He's been a beneficiary of probably the greatest era of basketball since it's inception. I've gone over this before but I can name flop after flop after flop after flop during his watch, most of which could and should have been avoided. Then to make his own matters worse he has all the balls in the world to be a Pompus Jerk whenever his authority or one of his puppets are questioned.

I'm ecstatic over this news and hope to learn of many other shady findings from this investigation so he can be knocked off his self positioned pedestal and down to the dirt, where he currently belongs.


One of his refs was found being 100% Angel only 1% of the time and many more may soon come to fruition.

Damn. Cold, man. I'm not a Stern fan, but that was harsh even for a hater.

Not really I'll post Bill Simmons article if it hasn't been already. He Filleted him and his league.

Trueblue is right, for once ...Stern benefited from having the services of some of the more dynamic athletes in sports history. He made a lot of great moves as a result. That said, Stern is head-and-shoulders the most insufferable and arrogant of the commissioners and is almost dictator like in his approach to the media, his players, and the fans --- easy to hate.

It speaks volumes that he was clearly more concerned with forcing his players to play dress up in order to satisfy conservative values, rather than focus on criminal, mob influenced activity that could bring the league down to its knees. Those misplaced priorities might be his lasting legacy.
