Zach would fit well in international ball. As would Lee. And frankly, it's been a while since Team USA had a shooter like Nichols.

Why do I feel like the Knicks summer league team would do better in international play than the stupid group of superstars they always assemble?

that may be- but what is the roster size? 12 guys? I think you put a curry on the roster and use him situationally. Just cause he's on the roster, doesn't mean he has to start or play major minutes.

And if Shaq wanted to go, I would certainly pick shaq over curry.


Dwight Howard might be an excellent choice over curry, but in terms of offensive skills, I think Curry is a bit more polished.

And if Curry played on Team USA, he wouldn't be able to get as fat.

International teams would go zone and pack it in on Curry, who can't dish out of the double team. We have post up players that can give us other things so I'm not sure we need a one trick pony at the post position.

No, we don't have what team USA sorely lacks: reliable shooters.

And I really hope we don't give up on our own shooting prospect, DKnick.

I wonder how Shaq guarded the pick and pop? Better question, how did Team USA defend the motion offense of Greece last year? Answer, not very well. Notice the addition of Tyson Chandler, Prince, Billups and Kidd all very good defenders.

Curry's role on the team wont be to play 40 mins. It would be situational. If the team needs a high % basket down the stretch, he can get it for them. There isn't a traditional back to the basket player on the roster. Stoudamire is a face the basket player and Howard is by no means a traditional back to the basket player.

Curry's presence would help the shooters on the team. You said they wold just pack in the zone on Curry. Well that would leave opne shots for, Redd, Miller, Melo, Kobe, JJ Redick etc.....And if they don't pack it in, Curry scores easily.

David Lee should be on the team because he doesn't need the ball will play solid defense, rebound, finish and shot at a high percentage and has the ability to distribute the ball around the floor

Actually for me, the closest guy on our roster to make the Olympic team would be Renaldo Balkman. That's how far away our guys are.

I disagree. However, Renaldo Balkman might fit the style of the US team.

Curry would foul out within the first 10 minutes under international officiating.
