I think many people are just flat out tired of hearing the guy speak.
Enough already.

He's not the only star athlete to seek a high profile in the media. Let's not forget that he's actively promoting a product for a company that doesn't advertise. This means he's got to get out there and keep a high profile in order to push his product. Don't hate on the man for trying to grow his brand.

No one thinks he's a great speaker and it is a somewhat embarrasing thing at times hearing him make poorly worded statements, but he's got a right to do it. If you don't like it just ignore him. Don't watch when he comes on or read when he's in the news paper.

Why is it hate? I said I get tired of hearing him all the time. Does that have to equal hate? I dont hate the guy. I just get tired of hearing him all the time. Havent you ever not wanted to hear from some body all the time without you hating that person? I'm just glad that the rest of the Knicks are not like this.

That's part of Luva's schtik. He likes to paint any opposition as all out Hate and an Assassination/Defamation on a person's character. Paint the victim as being villanized and get everyone to join along in the Pity Party.

Any real Knick Fan wants Marbury replaced and for him to go away and do his own thing.

Nixluva: The bottom line is that Marbs is not the type of player that can get you to the next level. He is just a guy that goes onto the floor and has little affect on the team's record in a positive way. He has never overacheived with a team, he has often times underachieved and has taken part in at least 2 or 3 outright Knick collapses in his time here.

He gets a lot of heat in NY because he is the "leader" of the team. A Leader who took this mantle by proclaiming himself "the best PG in the NBA". That's New York. If you are the leader of a NY team you better have your act together because it's a position that is pressure packed. This is one of the main problems with Isiah's tenure here. He spent the first 3/4 of it acquiring players that were not a fit for the city. Marbs seems to want the accolades that go with being a leader. But none of the criticism and with no need to show results. It doesn't work that way. Some people on this site have been calling for a replacement PG since day one, some since 2 years ago(I fall in this category). This should have been a priority in NY to find a PG that can grow with our big men. We have ignored this and once again will be caught empty handed and desperate if Marbs should sign into the looney bin. No proactivity with this regime.

Bip, I pretty much hold the same side as you, with the Marbury issue, and I agree we need to start finding a PG who can take over for Marbury and stick with Curry, assuming we keep Eddie, however, what other types of PGs do you have in mind? They aren't easy to come by in any sense.

They aren't easy to come by, that's why you target multiple one's via draft etc. til you find one. With our two big guys, finding a PG that fits is a necessity. When the opportunity arises you make a move for one. Worst case scenario ifyou don't like anyone in the draft then you should have a veteran PG(who is getting PT) that is not a polarizer or a problem or a media hound or confused with how to run an offense. But hold a spot on the roster for a veteran that can teach your young players how to behave and work and show some leadership.

You can be miscast all you want but I have a pretty good feeling that if Kidd, Nash, Wade, TMAC pretty much ever player you mentioned gets this team in the playoffs.

And I am willing to be that if you put Nash, Crawford, Balkman, Lee, Curry out there you are going to see Balkman 12pts Lee 15pts Curry 22pts and crawford get great looks all night long.

Kobe gets his team to the playoffs and they were injured and short handed and he did it in the west, if we had kobe with curry and everyone except marbury we would have been in the finals plain and simple.

So Nix you are saying:
Don't hate on the man for trying to grow his brand

I would say he should first grow his brain. Or better hire some motivational speaker.
He is good in playing the bbal (suppose) why not to hire professional to do the marketing?
Is he too greedy to pay others or too stupid to think he is the best in everything?

Italy is wonderful to visit. I loved it. Im sure HoBury loved it also.

Im not sure how he would be received.

They loved this fella at first:

But then things go wrong and they want that "escape Goat":

Thats Mussolini with his mistress, Clara Petacci (HIS better Ho) caught and hung as the were trying to escape to Switzerland.
