I have been saying this for years, it happen in superbowls too...the latest was Pittsburg Steelers vs Seattle Seahawks.

The latest in the NBA was the Dallas vs Miami final and Stern knows all about it.

The love of money has ruined our sports and country.

If the ref that's getting busted was involved in Miami/Dallas, what do you think Cuban will do? He'll loose it!

Uh yeah- it's been so obvious that the refs's were either fixing games for gambling purposes and/or for the NBA itself. Especially during the Jordan era. Not taking anything away from Jordan but fouls were never called on him - especially during 4th qrtrs. The most notorious non-foul call was during the Final against Utah when he empahtically pushed off(can't remember who was guarding him) and hit the game winning jumper. It's ridiculous. It's even relevant to the Knicks. Back in the Ewing, Oakley/Mason days we were known as the thugs of the NBA (an image that the league was trying to get away from) and we cert. received bogus calls.

So one Ref gets cited on probably fixing games in 05-06 and 06-07, and now you assume Jordans games were fixed aswell? Yeah, its the refs fault that Charles Smith blew like 4 layups in a row to lose us that series.

Knicks did pretty well with two last-second playoff gifts, both of which essentially gave us the series: the 3pt foul to Hubert Davis vs the Bulls, and the LJ 4pt play.

Maybe more refs should be checked out and monitored. Gambling is a helluva drug!

Ever wonder why we don't know anything about how much money refs make and when they get raises ?

I sure do. Anybody with eyes could see that Jordan always received favorable calls. Whether it was because the league wanted to keep the rosy Jordan image alive or it was some paid-for ref, Jordan definetly received preferential treatment.

NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.

I'll give you Hubert- but if anything it was payback for no Smith foul call the year before. LJ 4 pt play was legit IMO.

Steven A. Smith knows who it is and is talking about it on ESPN radio 1050. The ref is from New Jersey and supposedly isn't that old.

Actually I think the LJ play was a makeup call, if you go back to game two, marcus camby was in clear position to get the offensive foul call and they made a horrible call right after making a horrible call on ewing a play before......

Would have been 2-0 and we would've won anyway

My guess is Bob Delaney since he was undercover for the FBI for a few years with the mafia. I wonder if he made some friends in there that didn't get put away in jail and he got mixed up in a betting ring. Just a guess.

Tim Donaghy is the ref that Rasheed Wallace had an incident with a few years back when he was on the Blazers.

Stephen A:

"long time ref..."

"one of the best in the business..."

This is a bad, man.

Edit: He's also from the east coast. Like Jersey or something like that....

They got a tape of him placing a bet on a Bulls/Blazers game.
