Looks to me like Isiah managed to get 3 first round caliber players with only 1 first round pick

tomverve - Wilson Chandler is an interesting player from the perspective that he blends well with others. His game has an easy feel to it, meeaning he doesn't need the ball in his hands to make a contribution.
Bill Bradley once talked about always knowing where you are on the floor. Chandler does not get caught in traffic. He does not force things. Somehow, he finds or creates space. As you are so accurate in your observation, "it will open up the rest of the court for him." Nichols is not as long as Walter McCarty. Think of a build more along the lines of Michael Finley before a decent weight-training program. The similarity, once again, is in the ability to find space. From an open look, his shooting technique is solid and confident. Randolph Morris has a near perfect build for a frontcourt player. His body is proportioned and he does not carry any excess pounds around the waist. If a person wasn't paying attention, or looked at him with a suspicious eye, he could be labelled as lazy because he moves quicker when he feels an opening. He picks his spots like a veteran player. Morris, if he decides to add 5-10 pounds of muscle to his upper body, and maintain a solid base, could use his arms to carve space without picking up tacky touch fouls. Once again tom verve, you spotted the potential to run Morris at the four spot. The Knicks big frontcourt of Curry, Lee, Randolph and Morris, has more versatile talent over 6'9 than it has had in a decade. anything Jerome James brings is gravy once a knick always a knick

the hidden beauty of the Summer league squad was the ability to run an effective 6'8 player at guard.
Balkman, Nichols and Chandler did a decent job of taking care of (and sharing) the basketball egos in check, no one got greedy a good sign of team-building [Edited by - misterearl on 07-18-2007 07:17 AM] once a knick always a knick
