Mr.Earl, this is by far your best and most useful post I've read on this board.
BTW- For you jazz fans I have two nights left at the Village Vanguard this week playing with Drum legend Paul Motian.

yo, why don't you post a thread on it with pics and info about the gig. You'll get more eyes that way.

From the pre-game demeanor of players anxious to get on the court, the game felt like a team effort. The Knicks first unit was cohesive and talked a lot on defense.

Morris may look somewhat stiff or mechanic in his movement, but he has a variety of moves on both ends and someone took the time (Tubby Smith) to school him on being physical. Randolph Morris had three double-doubles. 4-for-5 from the field, with 10 rebounds against Denver.

Randolph will contest shots in the lane. Here is where Chandler also makes an impression. Wilson has the playground-sneaky ability to react to a shot attempt in his zone and go up after it. It is not simply his ability to get off the floor, but a sense of timing that will only improve if he continues to work on his game. There were at least 3 times his extended hand, going after a shot, popped out of nowhere. He was separated at birth from Andre Miller.

Best part about summer league is the players are more accessible than anywhere you will ever see them and you can always strike up a casual conversation with cats like Popeye Jones or Kiki Vandeweghe... for fans who recognize the players its perfect... as most people would miss a Mardy Collins just hanging out on the wall.

oh yeah, I almost forgot

the pickup basketball game is cool but if you really want something to remember for a lifetime. Start saving your coins now.

If the UK posse ever had the nerve or disposition to take a trip with some adventure, i highly recommend the River Runners Tour out of Vegas.

About a 45 minute 12 passenger plane ride to the narrow blacktop runway about a mile from The Bar Ten Cowboy Ranch. No building. Just a homemade wooden signpost in the middle of nowhere.

Activities include horseback riding, eating, volleyball, horseshoes or ATV rides for sunset view from the rim. Bedding includes private rooms, a deck or a covered wagon. Yup podnuh, your very own covered wagon.

Next day you start with a jaw-dropping helicopter ride dipping into the canyon to start a few days rafting through bubbling rapids down the river to lake meade. The Colorado River may look like a thin ribbon from the air but riding IN it ain't no joke.

We travelled with a group of 28 and shared good food, relaxed recreation, diverse backgrounds, new experiences, plenty of lemonade and plenty of peeing in the Colorado River.

Now would THAT be an Ultimate Knicks ULTIMATE Summer League Vacation to talk about?

Misterearl, I'm sure you don't care but this is easily the best group of posts that I've read from you.

nyk4ever - you assume that I don't care because I am not afraid to voice an opinion?

ot that i don't conform to the standard views?

sheesh

why didn't you simply say "thank you"?

LOL, as usual you take a statement and make it something it's completely not.

I said you probably don't care because you don't seem to enjoy my posting... You've said so before.

nyk4ever - I always enjoy your postage. We don't have to agree on everything to have a productive and adult conversation.

with that said, djsu is my hero

like Nate Robinson, perhaps it simply takes a bit longer to fully appreciate what he brings to the table
