I hope his trade value soars and he succeeds playing for another team.

Balky, Nate, and Jeffries for Yi.

Too much for Yi. I have a bad feeling about him.

Agreed! Him not showing up to Bucks camp leaves a really bad taste in my mouth, whether it's b/c of his agent, the Chinese government or Yi himself. Terrible way to start your career.

Somebody mentioned this above, but its worth repeating:

His Defense is still and absolute joke. Until he starts playing real D, I could care less about his offense.

I think in terms of raw basketball skills and what he is able to do at 5-8 he may be the most or one of the most talented basketball players in the league. But unfortunately raw skills don't win games. A combination of skills, smarts, a willingess to be coached, be a team player etc, is what brings about winning.

As a team with us it is not about talent. We have as much talent as 80% of the league. The problem with us is commitment to winning. Commitment to being coached. Commitment to our teammates and teh Knick logo. Consistency of effort. Commitment to skills other than offense. Until the players realize this all the talent in the world will just be good enough to be a bench player and win 33 games. Noone has ever denied the talent of Marbs, Nate, Zach, Curry, Jamal etc. It's their commitment that we wonder about.
I just hope that people will like me

At the very least he's a specialty player that can come in for short bursts and change the momentum. There's value in that.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

echo that... worst of all there is a clear lack of effort there. Nate lit up the league last summer also. Hell... so did Majec Lampe. He's a unique player though.. I hope he gets it

Lampe had a good summer league but wasn't dominating and was given pretty of minutes. I really remember him shooting the ball well. I always thought that Sweets had the better summer though. Too bad Sweetney has weight issues. He is a good low post player.

Nate has only scored 20 points once--Im talking about his obvious talent and how heused those talents as PG for this team. He seems to have developed more this summer. He's run the team from the PG position as good or better than anyone else that I have seen this summer because his play has impacted the game. I'm sure NBA caliber people understand what they have seen from Nate playing PG--yes a few out of control plays--but all in all the guy has been an impact player on easily the best team in this league.

Why isn't Dwight Howard, David Lee, Paul Pierce, Kobe Bryant and Barbosa on your list just to name a few? Where's Montae Ellis, Al Jefferson or Brandon Roy? LOL.

You guys got it wrong.. Lampe was one of the best players in SL that year and was all team whatever
Nevertheless, Stevenson made the Revue's all-tournament team, joining Phoenix's Joe Johnson, New York's Maciej Lampe, Philadelphia's John Salmons, Portland's Qyntel Woods and MVP Lonny Baxter of the Chicago Bulls.

I looked high and low far and wide actually I think Dwight Howard had some good games himself.

I remember the kool aid flowing over our 18 year old center that won all review and averaged 17/7/50% that summer

Just some perspective...

Nate should dominate. He's played 2 seasons against pros, and was a great scorer to begin with

You're lost. Thats expected in a Knicks forum. Is this Ihatetheknicks.com?
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

So when someone questions how can you call David Lee one of the Knicks best players only after a 59 game season. You can understand that question then?

I don't think they understand you are not talking about points........ The thing Ive noticed the most is he is starting to keep his head up and seeing passing lanes. Also he isn't dribbling the ball off himself out of control when he is dribbling.

Now if you are new to basket ball, those things don't change with what talent level you play against, that's what Briggs is talking about. He has improved in these areas.

It seems that some here don't think that we can judge Skills over just stats. If you have eyes and some understanding of what to look for you can see the quality of someones game despite the level of comp. You of course need to really have that kind of skill if you want to draft well LIke Isiah, but even we need to be able to see the little things that indicate if a player is truly a good one or a just SL wonder.

Nate isn't perfect, but he's showing some of the things he needs to show this summer. It's good to see.

I agree with briggs, and most of you guys act as if nate can't score on the NBA level, I think he already had two games of 34+ points, and no one can really stay in front of nate, he can score on NBA level talent easy and he has shown that ability, the guy averages 10ppg off the bench, shoots a high% and drives to the hoop with ease..

everyone knows Nate can score at the NBA level. we've all seen it. what he still needs to prove he can do is run the PG position. He's gotten some assists this summer league, but I think in three games it's like 21 assists against 14 TOs, so not a good assist to turnover ratio. He still plays too out of control.

That said, if he can play under control, he can always play SG when Mardy or Jamal plays PG. He needs to play under control and play smarter defense. He'll be fine. I kind of think we should trade him, but he's a spark plug and a good kid who just needs to watch his arrogance and wild streaks. I like Nate, but I wouldn't be opposed to trading him. I would never, in a million years, think of him as a PG. he's a SG. if we can find a role for him here as a SG, so be it. if not, let's get a guy like Maurice Williams or someone for him.
