notice how Isles shuts up after a grown-up metaphorically smacks him in the mouth. Like most bullies he only pushes down those who wont verbally push back.

It's called, "It was 1 in the morning and I was tired so I went to bed after my last post".

Dumbass.

So which grown up metaphorically smacked me in the mouth? I didn't feel nuthin. Whoever you think it was, tell him he hits like a girl and he needs to hit me a lot harder than that to get a response out of me.

As for the responses to my last post, It's amazing how sensitive some of you are. I honestly thought I was being complimentary towards Nichols. I said I liked him for Christ's sake. What else do you people want?

The comments towards Isiah in this thread were NOT initiated by me as they were in response to nixluva's pathetic pandering for people "to start respecting (Isiah's) abilities a lot more". But of course, people will choose to ignore that and pretend that I started it.

Morris Almond is a better prospect, with greater upside and the Knicks don't have another player with his shooting skills. He would have been a big help on the perimeter to open things up for the crowded post. Chandler on the other hand only has a slightly better shooting touch than Balkman (which really isn't saying much), but Balkman has a much better motor which makes him the better player and makes Chandler redundant. This is nothing that more than a few people have said on this board and in the media.

Now I suggest that some of you go

It's a noticeable trend.

So you won't have trouble finding another example. Because I'd love to see one.

I've gone pages and pages, verbally sparring with people and have never backed down. Even sinking to their level at times, which I'm not proud of but was willing to do to make a point.

Morris Almond is a little slower of foot than Nichols and doesn't have the hops, but has been a more prolific scorer over his college career and has consistently put the ball in the ocean- something Nichols can't say (he was far better his senior year than any other year). That being said, I thought Nichols would be a sleeper at our first rounder based on his workouts, where he absolutely shot the lights out in Orlando. Still had Almond a notch ahead of Nichols, but I didn't think Almond was so much better.

Martin, I always respect your wishes to cease and desist but I wish you read through the whole thread before picking me out as the instigator. I get insulted and then slandered after I went to bed last night but this morning when I get a chance to respond, I'm the one that gets reprimanded by you.

I've watched quite a few 'cuse games as my bro in law is a big fan and forces me to watch. Like I've already said more than once in this thread, I LIKE NICHOLS.

Nichols nor Almond have played a single NBA game. Isiah has proven to each of us that he is good at spotting talent with upside in the draft. Saying Almond has more potential is about as good as confirming a player's worth after 1 summer league game - something you shot down vehemently just a little while ago.

I'll take that under advisement.

No it isn't. Nichols was very spotty during his first 3 years at 'cuse. It wasn't until his senior year that he picked it up. Based on their entire college careers, not just 1 summer league game, Almond was clearly the better prospect and judged to have more potential by most, if not all talent evaluators.

Summer league is a glorified pickup game. It resembles an NBA game, almost as little as the UK game will this Saturday. I wouldn't take much stock in it.

Almond could be a more prolific scorer/shooter but keep in mind, Nichols played much better competition than Almond did. With the exception of Memphis, Almond played aganist mid-major teams. Whereas Nichols competed consistently against, top tear teams (Gtown, Uconn, Louisville, Pitt etc).

As I said earlier, Nichols has a higher release, longer athlete who could play the passing lanes, can finish above the rim, and is a little quicker than Almond. Almond is much stronger however.

We've seen over the years many high profile scorer's from mid-major teams that just don't live up to the billing. We'll see if Almond bucks that trend.

I also have to wonder, of all the people that are backing Almond, how many tims have they actually watched him play? Rice doesn't come on the tube much if at all. I'm a college BB junkie and I've only seen him twice.

Almonds was that good his first three years at Rice either.

This "Intelligent Donkey" was smart enough to get under your skin & reduce you to a name calling, whining, getting reprimanded by the moderator buffoon. I'm glad youe acolyte Solace was able to defnd you your time around here clearly has passed...

Like John from Cincinnati says "See God, Isles" or the less esoteric (look it up) quote from Eddie Murphy in 48 hrs would be "Theres a new sherriff in town & his name is ActionJackson"

Hey Martin, this guy just called you a buffoon.

I'm pretty sure that's namecalling.

Note the use of commas which would make "buffoon" the object in the sentence; thereby making you my dear boy, the "buffoon" in question.

P.S. - Do those "Reading Is Fundamental" vans still circle through suburban neighborhoods??? cause maybe we could arrange for some one on one counseling.

Martin, what were you saying about last warnings?

Apparently, some people don't give a damn what you say.

Martin, if you really want "last warnings" to mean something, you might want to enforce them. Just saying.

Or to use an Eddie Murphy line out of "Trading Places", may I suggest using your nightstick.

I think that's the least you can do to him for questioning your reading skills.
