Nobody is bashing Eddie for working out. Get it straight.
The people that are excited that he is working out are being bashed.

No- the people excited that Eddie is working out are getting bashed for being excited about Curry working out- because until Curry translates all this hard work in the off season to the court during the season, he's just an over paid, unidimensional player.

Completely untrue but why should that stop you.

Nobody is bashing Curry if he happens to be in the gym working out. People are ridiculing how low the standards are with Curry that it's supposed to be a big deal that he's actually working out. Curry brought that upon himself for the BS work ethic that he's displayed throughout his 6 year career.

Knicks fans used to reserve their praise for all out effort. Now some Knicks fans can't wait to praise minimal effort.

Wrong. They are being bashed because Eddie, and all the other players SHOULD BE working out as part of what they get paid to be professionals and do. It is EXPECTED that they do. The fact that anyone gets excited about it shows what low standards we have for our team.

Not sure what you're talking about but why does it have to be only one thing?

OOOOOOHHHH MYYYYYYY GOOOOOD!!!! Curry is really at the gym????? Wait, let me guess, is he actually running too????? WOWOWOWOW!!!!

This is exactly what I was talking about earlier. This is how our standards have lowered from all of this losing. We are actually getting excited about what guys are doing in the offseason, when it should really be our offseason too. We get too excited about what happens in the offseason, b/c it's only lead to 33, 23, 33 win seasons. No freaking fun.

That was my initial reaction. For some reason we're supposed to be ecstatic that a guy, who is being paid 8 figures a year to play basketball, is in the gym 3 months after his season ended.

Remember when having any semblance of a work ethic was expected from your supposed franchise player?

It's sad that standards have been lowered this much.

Oh, and that Google thing is hysterical.

I created a thread specifically about our Fan Base having no standards and got plastered for it.

I forget which exhibit this falls under but it's one of the myriads.

I just got this from RealGm:

Bulls fan here, I seen Eddy Curry last weekend at home depot in Country Side, IL..

He does not look out of shape at all. He was with some fit/buff white guy with a gang of tattoo's I'm not sure if he's just a friend or a personal trainer, I would assume the later. Curry by the way looked really lean, and it kind of shocked me because I thought he would be fat as hell in person. He actually might be in the best shape of his career this comming season.

I found that thread. The Bulls fan also said this in a later post
I would have taken some pictures but, I really didnt want to bother him, he looked confused trying to figure out the "self-checkout machine". It's funny because nobody in the Home Depot really approached him, I was told by some of the workers he's a regular and often shows up 5 times out of the summer.

I seen him last year over the summer, he lives not to far from one of my friends in Burr Ridge, Eddy is in that area, and he definantly looked alot bigger last summer.

Nobody's overly excited. Its just good to hear. But of course, when someone posts something positive about Curry, in come the twinkie jokes, or, it took him long enough to finally work out or, he's working out but....It just doesn't end.

Are you talking about the crap that Knicks fans have had to endure or the sarcasm that realistic Knicks fans use because of it?

This fits right up there with giving Marbury "AT A BOYS" for being a boy scout not causing MUTINY last yr. Many of our fans don't get it and probably never will.
