fred is gonna bring some D to the table. said in the interview w/ gus and clyde (clyde introduced himself as "the greatest knick ever") that all he focuses is on is D and getting out in the break. the knicks could really push the rock and he and balkman would both thrive.

can't wait for balkman, him and lee are gonna be a great forward tandem backing up randolph and curry.

Fred Jones best year in his career was 10.6 points, .8 steals, 2.5 assists, 3.1 rebounds on 42% shooting in 29 minutes.

Nate did most of that as the "most hated knick" in about 21 minutes a game in his second year. I would rather keep Nate, Fred Jones is not a "stopper" be any measure.

nate is another offense-first, out of control guard. the knicks don't need that.

jones is willing to get the touches when he can and focus on D. if nate is only interested in offense, there is no room for him. jones seems willing to do that, hence, i think he should take nate's spot (plus he can guard the 1 and 2 vs. nate only being able to gaurd the point)

Fred Jones is a retread with Diminishing skills in only his 5th NBA season. He should take nobodies spot hence why he is out of Indy, Toronto and Portland in a years time.

he was in indy for 4 yrs and then signed with the raptors as a FA. he got dealt to portland and then thrown in the trade for z-bo. what a retread.

fact of the matter is fred jones accepts his role after being bounced around a bit that he should focus his efforts on D since he is an undersized 2 with good athleticism. nate is still a 5'9" point who wants to be spud webb. i'd rather have the guy that, like the rock said, knows his role and shuts his mouth.

I will wait and evaluate him a lil more(not sold on him yet).

Chandler looks like he understands his role and understands the game.

Nichols playing just like he did at the cuse (leading the bigeast in scoring) knocking down shots all over the perimitter.

The Knicks need more of that mechanics at the center position especially on defense because right now they have ones that don't work properly.

Q said Nichols is NBA ready. He said that Nichols plays all the time with NBA players like Shawn Marion and is able to produce. I thought he was good in college we will see how he plays on the NBA level.

As far as Morris, all he has to do is hit the outside shot, rebound and play defense and I will be fine with that. Like Kurt Thomas.

Fred Jones is a good defensive player because of what????LOL
Jones is in decline after only his fifth year as a pro............. I never value other teams bench players more then my own players, I wish more fans would fill that way. Especially when it comes to retreads like Dick and Fred

He couldn't make it in TDot and was traded for a fringe NBA player. He was offensive energy off the bench in Indy and after getting kicked from three teams the last year, now he is a good defender??? He isn't average at either, and he shouldn't take anybodies spot on this team.
