Can people really see Jordan and Isiah on the same phone line to make a deal together? I can't think of two more people in sports that hate each other. Trust me if they both were on the phone together their conversation would not end with have a nice.

That's a good point. It does suck that automatically, there are at least two teams, right out of the box, that we can't trade with because of personal grudges with Isiah.

I like Wallace but for $60 million, we might be better off seeing if Balkman improves his offense or Chandler can turn into the player IT presumes he can become. That being said, if the deal is 6/$60 million, that is not that bad when you consider how much guys like Hughes make.

Isn't there a 5 year limit for new nba contracts?

You can sign your own free agents to a 6 year deal. Other teams free agents can be signed to 5 years. You can also do a sign and trade for 6 years.

We have to let our SF's develop. I think Nichols will emerge out of the group not just because he has the potential to defend and to be the best shooter of the group, but I think he'll be the best fit with Curry, Zach, Marbs and anyone else on the court.

Maybe we should trade our expirings for a larger expiring - like Ricky Davis

This could be interesting if the C's are motivated to get rid of the cousin from Coney Island

Outgoing
Theo Ratliff
6-10 C from Wyoming
2.5 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 0.0 apg in 21.5 minutes
Sebastian Telfair
6-0 PG from Abraham Lincoln (HS)
6.1 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 2.8 apg in 20.3 minutes
Incoming
Jared Jeffries
6-11 SF from Indiana
4.0 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 1.2 apg in 23.8 minutes
Fred Jones
6-2 SG from Oregon
6.5 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 1.7 apg in 20.9 minutes
Dan Dickau
6-0 PG from Gonzaga
3.3 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 1.4 apg in 9.0 minutes
Randolph Morris
6-11 C from Kentucky
0.8 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 0.2 apg in 8.6 minutes

Joe. . . Ricky Davis would be a good guy for IT to target. He would not cost that much and would bring a ton of offense and solid defense (not great but also not terrible). He might be a short term fix to our SG problem.

Eh....Ricky worries me more than anyone. At least with Artest or even a Wallace(brittle body?) we know what we are dealing with. Ricky was shipped out of Boston and Cleveland for the express purpose of keeping him away from their young players. ANd we never heard a word of what actually went on.

He was shipped from Cleveland because he did not want to play second fiddle to Lebron and was real immature. But he acted better in Boston (other than one or two early incidents) and I don't think his trade from Boston was directly due to any problems they were having with him. The team just was not going anywhere and they decided to go in a different direction. I have not heard anything negative about him since he has been in Minny. The guy is no angel, but I think he is a more mature player than he was 4-5 years ago. He is certainly less of a risk than a guy like Artest and he also has a short contract.

there is no way CHA takes anything less than a package of D Lee + another asset, either Mardy or Balk, in any S&T deal for G Wall... & then you add that contract on top of that... Artest would be a much less risky proposition that will come at a much lower cost in terms of talent & salary.

LOL at you two. Since Jordan call the Knicks to see if they were interested in trading for both their picks on draft day. Knicks turn down offer that included Lee.
