These players are the only ones that should be involved:
Malik Rose - no longer needed...honestly, no longer needed.
Jerome James - see malik rose and replace "no longer" with "never"
Dan Dickau and Fred Jones - makes sense as some kind of asset

That's it.

Why give up anybody else?

the problem is that Artest and Malik Rose make the SAME EXACT SALARY.

As does QRich and Artest.

I found a whacky trade that sends our expirings, Jerome and Malik for the sac town trifecta kenny thomas, SAR and Artest, but that's kind of a pain in the but.

Jeffries and Rose for Artest.

Of course, thats a deal no knicks' fan could refuse. Now, Sacramento is another story, haha.

About including Nate in an Artest trade, I know many of you are down on him but you will regret trading him in such a package this early. If anyone has the biggest potential in the Knicks it could very well be Nate. He has shown some signs of understanding how to play at this level, and no one can deny the talen he's got. IF you are going to include him in a deal, make sure you get another young player in return to compensate it. Artest alone isn't worth Nate because of the high risk factors involved...

I mean emotional wise. Forget the Piston brawlgame. He had many confrontations with Carlisle. He acted half crazed under him.

and under Isiah as well.

rumor was that in 03 Isiah tried to leave Artest off the playoff roster.

I thought I remembered reading that Zeke had no interest in Ron right before he was traded to Sac Town. Again, if he can get him for cheap, then of course you have to, but I wouldn't expect Isiah to become determined to add Ron to the roster at all costs.

Malik and Nate. I don't offer much more than that.
