Camby is an injury waiting to happen. We would make a trade for him and he would get injuried at the press conference walking up the stairs.

LOL! better yet he'll get injured once a telephone call is made to him on the trade.
lol. Exactly that clown would slip on a banna peel and be in a wheel chair for 2 years. We would be stuck with Camby in a wheel chair while Karate James is on the sideline eating a can of raw fish.

I'd rather do Curry for Dalembert. The guy has just as much upside as Camby and is much younger.

There's a very small but vocal minority around here that has a thing for trading Curry. We get it. You guys hate Curry! It's a great plus to have major shot blocking, but it's not a requirement to win games. I just want to see a greater effort to at least deter or alter shots. If Curry can do that I think we'll be fine.

Indeed, I don't get what is the obsession with trading him. You would think he just had the worst possible season of his career. You would think he is on the decline maybe past his prime. Honestly, I can't wait for when the season starts to see what kind of shape he shows up in. I for one am hoping for great improvement upon last season and hopefully to see him make the all-star team. (I think he is good enough to do so)IF he indeed does improve to that level, I anxiously await the response of the board, to see what most will say. I already know there is a bunch of "i told you so" waiting to be posted if he falls flat on his face.

btw, this trade is just terrible

Sadly this isnt unusual. The same kind of tools say trade Arod in baseball. Say trade Jagr in hockey and say trade Shockey in football.

They just like to hate on the teams biggest stars.

Bad trade. I, however, am open to the concept of trading Curry. Simply put, I think Randolph is a better offensive player than Curry. Curry is slightly better on the lowblock, but Randolph can actually pass out of the double team and can create his own shot. Plus, Randolph has a mid range game that will allow us to always get him the ball in a spot he can score from. We should be able to get half a team for Curry. I bet the Lakers would give up Bynum, Farmer, and Fernandez and change for Curry and change. BUt I am not sure I even want to do that deal. Now if we could get O'Neal for CUrry, that might be something to explore. O'Neal is young enough that we should be able to get a good 5-6 years out of him. Now an O'Neal/Randolph frontcourt would be pretty solid.

Curry has enough trade value to get more back. That's why I'd explore many other deals first. Nevertheless, I'm sure we'd win far more games with a Zach/Camby front court than a Zach/Eddy front court so long as Camby stayed about as healthy as he's been the last few years.

Man, didn't they just tell you in another thread that Camby is 33 years old and has been injured every year for the last 3 years? What....are you talking about?

Help me to try to understand.

Camby playing 80 to 90% of the games is better than anything lazy Eddy gives.

I'm not sure he has as much upside as Camby. He's known as a dumb player on defense. However, I would take him over Camby at this stage in their careers.

You guys are hating on Curry. Atleast give this combo the benefit of the doubt before breaking it up. Redundancy with Curry and Zach not true two different styles of play. They will compliment each other more than people here think.

It is redundancy when both are good scorers and neither are good defenders. Don't get me wrong, I like Zach, he is an upgrade over what we had there, but its more of what we already have(offense and rebounding).

Redundancy was having Lee with Curry. That is redundancy people two players that can't score outside 10' all their points come in the paint. Atleast Zach now can drop 10-15 feet jumpers on a consistent basis. I think people here are in love with the block shot to them that is defense well I have seen Curry block a few shots in games so he isn't totally lacking in that dept. could he be better hell yes, and I think he will get better. But to me position defense is as important and Curry and Zach play decent position defense. Remember people the problem with the Knicks wasn't so much the interior defense yes it could be better but the perimeter defense was plain aweful last year. All this talk about Camby and this and that I remember Camby great help defense but his offense never was as it should have been I just remember him playing 60 games a year. and at 33 years old red flag is up. Dalembert ha-ha you want this scrub on the Knicks I'm glad you guys are not the GM of the Knicks we would be worse off. I suggest to everyone here be patient and see what Zach and Curry do together and then we will cross that bridge when we get there. No need to make unnecessary moves until the time come to make them.

That's a point, but it would still help to be dominant offensively and on the boards. It will also help create match-up problems inside.

I think he meant Dalembert vs. Camby.

You know Camby was the Defensive Player of the Year and you know that interior defense is one of our biggest (if not the biggest) need, right?

You know Camby almost never plays games anymore, right? He needs a cane and a bottle of methamusel.
