Having Curry and Zach on the same team, gives us several advantages.

1) It makes it very difficult for opponents to double them. Doubling, when it comes, will have to come after the entry pass. If you double Curry and he passes to Zach, it will be hard to move the double to him before he gets his shot off - and vice versa.
2) Having both of them, means we're not as concerned about Curry getting in foul trouble. He'll be able to focus more on defense if he's not so concerned about foul trouble.
3) We will have a low post presence 48 minutes a game.

Im sorry guys but some of you need to start looking at the big picture. Out of Spurs, Miami, Pistons, Lakers, Chicago, Rockets, Celtics, 76ers. Which one of those teams did not have strong to great defensive frontcourts or defensive anchors? Thats a list of NBA champions in the last 27yrs. If Curry was an all around player with great defensive ability to go along with low post scoring then Okay. But he isn't. If Randolph & Lee were lunch pale defensive bangers/rebounders with skill then I would be fine. But they aren't.

Turnovers is our #1 problem and the difference from being a lotto team to a playoff bound team. Our frontcourt will be the difference from us being a championship calibre team and just a playoff team. Our turnovers problem is going to be harder to fix with Marbury & Crawford are the backcourt since they are hard to move because of there contracts. Curry is easier to move. So we would have a better shot balancing the frontcourt with a defensive big then fixing the backcourt with headier ball control type of guards.

The best way to defend 3pt shots is to have a shotblocker defensive anchor that makes guards & bigs hesitate from comming in the paint forcing them out to the perimeter. This now allows our perimeter players to push up on them so they can't get good shots off. But if you are soft in the middle then teams are going to kill us in the middle which is going to force our guards to sag down and help our bigs, which is going to free our opponents to shoot open 3s.

The plan is to pound the ball inside on every possesion. Okay but where does that leave Jamal Crawford. He now has to turn into a spot up shooter. He also doesn't do to much without the ball in his hands. He isn't going to be a player that we get the most out of next season.

As for Curry being a 3rd option, that's crazy. The guy only got 12 shots a game and still avg'd 20 a game. He's near 60% and just imagine he did all that with people all over him. He's a top option. Perhaps 1A, but not 3rd.

u r not a 1 or 1a if the only coverage u can beat is 1-on-1
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

What the fifth assist shows you is that Zach can put the ball on the floor solidly. He's a good player. We just need to ditch the plan of building with Eddy and build with players that compliment Zach. It's not how I'd build a championship team but it's better than the current plan of having both.

Bonn, give the current plan a shot. For one thing, both Zach and Curry have had to do what they've done against double teams - in Curry's case it's often been triple teams. With the two in together, each will have more opportunities to exploit single coverage. Also, we'll have an effective inside scorer in the lineup for the entire game. I think they'll do well together.

When that plan doesn't work, their trade value will be shot.
