"We didn't go home and sleep in the same bed with each other. We played basketball together."

Seriously, I'd like to know what he was on during this interview. Strange days.

Seriously, this guy is the captain of the team?
That is a real problem.
I mean, how can anyone with half a brain respect this guy as a leader?
He would be jammering nonsense, and I'd be tuning him out, waiting for him to finish.

Thats what i thought as i watched this. If we got a true PG, or even a Chauncey Billps, this team would be much better off. Oh well. We're stuck with jabberjaw. As long as he plays like he played last year we can live.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

seems like serious strides or true team leaders are held in check until after the 08/09 season.

Here's my take on the last 1:30. Stephon said that the 10 sec format didn't give him time to think. He knows that, in the past, he's gotten in trouble for things he's said to the press and feels that if he doesn't have time to think about each response, he'll say something that he'll later regret.

Other players play for the trophy... I just play to win and to win...

Love ya Steph, but where is your head at?
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

One of his better interviews, I'd say.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

Knicks guard Stephon Marbury put on some kind of performance while appearing on Mike Francesca's "Mike'd Up" late Sunday night in New York .

The show, a weekly thirty minute recap of New York's weekend in sports, usually features Francesca, a big bowl of popcorn, and some Yankees talk mixed in with a touch of "Sopranos" chit chat.

This week's episode, however, was hosted by a fill-in, local NBC sports anchor Bruce Beck. Beck seems like a good enough guy and is as solid a local news sports anchor as they come, but not even he could have prepared for the storm that the evening's guest brought in.

Incoherent mumbling, cell phone calls mid-interview, and a bizarre bopping and dancing routine (with the completely sensible explanation of "I do this like that to keep me closer to the light") as the interview came to a close were just some of the noteworthy elements from the interview.

The highlight? Marbury explaining to Beck, "Me, as a leader of the team, I have to convince them of a way how we can go steal a trophy. People are going to think we are crazy for talking like that. But if you can believe it, you can achieve it."

Stealing a trophy? Huh?

Sam Rubenstein summed it all up nicely Monday morning, "This interview was on the level of Danny Devito's sloppy drunk appearance on The View. It was like when Courtney Love would basically OD and then do interviews. Perhaps Stephon is just high on life. Either way, it was an uncomfortable and amazing moment in time."

Someone tell Francesca to get back soon. His show, his audience, and that enormous bowl of popcorn awaits him.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
