Isiah is a sneaky mofo. Is there anybody out there that could be available that isiah could trade for?

What about dj's reflection grant hill? That is so left field it could happen . Dude has black ankles but he could provide outside shooting and leadership. Lmao.

A guy that can play SF that requires NO shots is Jared Jeffries...he plays D too.

Artest does demand shots. (we would trade Dickau, Nate and Balkman in this trade).

You know isiah might be thinking Jared is enough.

The plan was for Jared to just be the good teamate cuz channing was supposed to improve on his rookie season. Well isiah improved channing by getting a guy that does exactly what channing should have been doing just 5x's better. Maybe Jared won't look like such a bad signing now.

Ha!

Oh yeah, Pietrus... he might be the guy.

I like Pietrus, but with Balkman, Chandler, Mardy we have guys who can do what Pietrus does at a fraction of the cost and they won't demand shots.

I'd just like a shotblocker to back up Eddy. and maybe a more reliable backup PG option, though I think MArdy and Craw can cover the backup PG sufficiently. maybe keep Dickau around and try to shop Nate for a shotblocker. I guess the kicker is if Zeke knows something about QRich's health that we don't.

I don't like Jared but I can see isiah falling back to the song and dance about Jared being the perfect teamate.

I was joking about grant hill, but a grant hill would actually be a good look for this team. He can handle the ball, pass and score. He still can defend having defended chancey in the playoffs.

well the difference with Jared now is the fact that he has two scorers in the power positions and two in the guard positions.

Marbury 14-16 ppg/6-8 apg
Crawford 18-20 ppg/4-5 apg
JARED
Zach 20-21 ppg/10 rpg
Curry 19-21 ppg/7-8 rpg

I love David, but he has not really shown any type of offensive skill. He is a great rebounder but Zach does rebound the ball 10 times a game. And Frye was in a terrible funk last season so when we split the time between Lee and Frye, there was zero offense coming from the PF position and only from the guards and Curry.

Now when you insert Zach, it takes all the pressure off of Jared to have any involvement in the offense. He can play perimeter D and block a shot or so and rebound. Jared was asked to play offense last season because there was very little of it coming from the SF position, esp with Q hurt most of the time.

I agree, ENY- I think that Jeffries won't look so bad because of the offensive output from the 4 so he can concentrate on doing the "little things" and playing D.

This is like going all in with 2 7 offsuit.

So what happens to the franchise for the next decade when this gigantic cluster**** backfires?

You always say "when". It's never if with you. This team isn't just going to implode as if it's preordained. Can you at least for once admit that this team is better and has a chance to make noise in the East this year? Would it kill you to take a look at what we have and admit that we're due to be better? I mean you're starting to sound silly being SO negative for what seems like some petty dislike for the players and coach of the team you claim to love. Will you still be so negative if Isiah does make another trade for a good perimeter player?

Better than what?

Exactly what kind of noise do you expect them to make?

i'm expecting a lot of "yo, who's man was that? that was your man! no, that was your man!" type of noise this season.

PG-Marbury
SG-Artest
SF-Jeffries
PF-Randolph
C-Curry

Play Artest at the SG (that way he'll get his shots) and pick up Matt Carroll for the MLE to come off the bench? I like having both Artest & Jeffries on the floor for D.

You know - every time there has been a trade this board believes there will be a follow up trade to help balance the roster - and it never comes.

I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I don't doubt for a second that Isiah will trade David Lee if it means we could get a guy like Shawn Marion or some other prototypical player at SF. Right now DLee is a luxury we should all love to keep but be prepared to have to let go eventually.

it's something to consider.

if we want to significantly upgrade a starting spot, then lee has to go. but that kind of kills our frontcourt depth. that leaves the backups as jerome, malik, and morris (if he's still here).

Marion would be a great compliment for this front court.

BTW, I really wish Isiah would consider trading Curry at this point.
Get a defensive center in here, and then bring in an offensive SF like Lewis.
Sell Curry while his stock is high, it ain't going any higher, and
(knock on wood) you never know when that heart is going to go bad.

You do that more than anyone here. It's always "when" not "if" Eddy starts trying to rebound and play defense. When not if he can pass the ball and stop committing tons of turnovers.
