Why move up 5 spots when all players past #8 are essentially the same?

Well this is only a rumor so I won't get all crazy on Isiah about who he might send away. The idea of trying to move up would only make sense if you have a specific guy targeted that you believe you'll stand a great chance of getting at that pick. With NJ just a pick ahead at 17, I don't see the great advantage if the guy he wants is S. Williams. It would seem that NJ has interest in taking him there.

Who knows what the truth is. These draft rumors are often unfounded.

Oh man, that's pretty funny considering Isiah's past comments! Good catch!

i would try to make the deal:

Jefferies, Frye, Nate & the #23

for

Foyle, #18, #36 & '08 1st round pick
- #18 - select Sean Williams
- #36 - select Marcus Williams (or Morris Almond if he's still on the board)

Foyle's another Big Turd to add to this roster, but at least it gets rid of Jefferies' sorry butt... Sean Williams is the guy that can really impact this team... i don't see a guy like Wilson Chandler having much of an impact next season... both Q Rich & Balkman will be seeing minutes at the 3 ahead of him regardless.

C - Curry / Morris
PF - Lee / S Will / Malik
SF - Q Rich / Balk
SG - Craw / Collins / M Will
PG - Marbs / Francis
IR - Turd1 / Turd2

Why on earth would we do that deal, Williams is such a question mark we don't need to take on an awful deal, you want marcus williams, trade nate to seatle for the first pick in the second round, which they would do in a heartbeat.

I think Frye sucks but I am not moving him in that deal. I think we have to hang onto the guy and bring him off the bench, hopefully isiah isn't dumb enough to start him, build some value and then move him with a bad contract for something serviceable.

Losing Jared and channing in the same trade would be the basketball version of the cure for aids.

If golden state wants these gaylords, ship em'.

Foyle is a waste, but he is good with community work. Dude could be a big draw for the African community in nyc.

Can the knicks get something good outta gs?

The shadow knows!

If not Sean Williams, maybe Isiah wants to move up for a Euro like Fernandez (and that's why he's willing to give up Mardy?)

Mardy is nobody right now. I would trade up 18 for Sean Williams or Thaddus Young, becaues I think one of those players will be there. If we are Keeping Frye and Lee, why would the thought be Isiah is doing it for Sean Williams????? I think it would be for Thaddus or Julian Wright.

Trade Frye, James, QRich, Nate to Warriors for Adonal Foyle, Sarunas Jasikevicius & Stephen Jackson + #18 pick.
Why for Warriors: unload a year of Foyle's contract (vs. James), dump Jackson's attitude (in exchange for QRich)& get a young shooter in Frye which is perfect for that system.

Why for Knicks: Frye not working out here, Jackson is a character risk but a better player than QRich, Jasikevicius is a nice guy to have off the bench. Then draft Sean Williams or if not there > McRoberts at 18, then best available shooting guard at 23 (Almond, Bellinini). Buy out Francis or tell him to stay home a la Bulls/Tim Thomas.

Lineup:

C- Curry, Morris, Foyle
PF- Lee, Williams or McRoberts, Rose
SF- Jackson, Balkman, Jefferies
SG- Crawford, Almond, (Jackson can play here as well)
PG- Marbury, Collins, Jasikevicius

An 8 playr deal to save Mardy Collins???? Just trade them mardy if they want him and I'm not to sure about that. They can have Q or Rose or JJ2 and Mardy for 2years of Foyle.

GS would be the perfect place for Frye to succeed along with PHX.

I would trade Jamal, Frye, Nate, Jeffries for Foyle, Jackson, Biedrins and the 18th pick.

Nelly would absolutely love this trade. All players coming from us would be perfect for his system.

Frye or a '08 1st round pick - i'd rather have the '08 pick & take my chances
Jefferies or Foyle - i'd rather get Jefferies' extra year of salary off the books
Nate & the #23 or the #18 & #36 - again, i'd rather have the picks & take my chances... i'd much rather have Sean & Marcus Williams over Nate & Wilson Chandler... this also gets the option of having to extend Frye & Nate's rookie contracts out of the way, so they'll have more options open to them in '09.

that's why i make that trade.
