I don't know what Camby could play. He didn't play PF last time he was here. Nor in Denver dawg.

He would merely replace what JJ2 was 'suppposed' to be. I once said a few years back that Camby reminded me in many ways (minus the thug attitude, but then again ask JVG about that) of Rodman. Same type of defensive player, almost the same type of body. Camby the great upward jumper and Rodman, the great 'lateral' mover. The Knicks have just got to make the best and luckiest picks. We missed some good ones through the years.
I'll never trust this' team again.

If I was Marcus Camby I wouldn't step foot in NY and allow some of the same fans who were dissing him a few years back the chance to do it all over again.

WTF are you talking about?

Do you post to try and get a raise out of people or do you actually believe the crap you write?

We should be rebuilding. We've lost 110 games in the past two seasons. We don't need to get veterans with about 2 or 3 years of NBA level play left.

Camby played PF until Ewing went down.

They forced him and Thomas (6'-9") to try and play center. At the time, as skinny as he was, it was pitiful. Especially when they had him taking on Duncan in the finals. Curry is the 'closest thing' we've had to a center since Ewing's best years ended.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Why would the Knicks want Camby when they have Curry?

Swish, please stop creating threads. That aint your thang dawg

are you kidding? maybe because camby is a PF and the defensive presence we need.

And no, I don't dream about Curry and Camby. I leave the dreaming about men to you. Panos, I don't know what Camby could play. He didn't play PF last time he was here. Nor in Denver dawg.

no one ever disrespected camby, he was always a fan favorite. where do you come up with this crap?

Are you competent enough to build a championship team for while Camby is around? I think no.

If it interfers with the possibility of bringing Kobe to New York, then no Camby. As a matter of fact, if Kobe is a possibility, then all else is secondary.

That is exactly right! If we get someone like Kobe, then go for it now. Otherwise, continue the rebuilding process. Nothing less.

And why are we banking on bringing Kobe when it's such a long shot? Please, lets be a little realistic. First off, neither player is guaranteed to win you a championship in the first place, so it's not like it's SOOOOOOO nescessary to break the bank for either considering we don't even have a good team to build around the them.

Are you kidding dude? I seem to be the only guy on this board (and that's why no one's talking to me) who's keeping a door open for the 'long shot' chance of us getting him here. Camby and Kobe cannot be mentioned in the same breath. And what the hell is wrong with hoping we can get the best and building around for a championship anyway? Be realistic, but don't let it dorf your hope!!!

I will say it again. If we can get Kobe, we are instant contenders, we are respected. And by the time he and whoever we have, who's contracts finally expire, the cap should open up and we can immediately rebuild again with free agent superstars in the near future. My whole point of this has always been, if we are going to be in major debt doo doo, them make it worth it! At leat try to act like you want to win damn it people!
I'll never trust this' team again.

jayd, they roasted Camby.

Called the guy Bambi and Cotton Camby and everything else.

But thats what Knicks fans do, I guess.

Only a Knick fan would raost the one player, Ewing, who made winning possible. But who am I to judge?

i love to have camby back but i like to see how the draft pans out first

now that the draft is behind us and if denver wants to deal camby the trade should resemble jj1 + jj2 + nate for camby + jr smith. this trade can be modified to work.

marcus can work his magic off the bench. why ? because curry's foul trouble may just dictate such a move

jr smith aint doing a hill of beans in denver. and this is the shooter starbury is looking for.

get'm zeke

The trade you posted is too one sided.

How about
Curry to bobcats
Camby to the 76ers
Dalembert to the Knicks
Brezec to the Nuggets.

Denver is trying to unload salary. They aren't looking to deal Camby just for the hell of it.

maybe we can offer up the expirings of Dickau & Jones along w/Nate & Balk for Camby? that's a little more realistic than including Jefferies or Turd into the equation... if that happens, i'd be a lot more accepting of the Zach trade, i can tell u that much.

if denver is looking to unload defensive player of the year for the hell of it then they should not mind entertaining my non-cap relief trade that fills their needs

i would buy into your trade if denver included jr smith in the deal and the salaries match. looking for devin brown may signal bye bye jr
