NIX- you do realize that all those YOUNG KNICKS guys are LATE picks...Chicago has lotto picks. WAY MORE ATTRACTIVE than anything we have. You are way OVERREACHING.

Randolph Morris

If they are SO good, ship em! I am SURE Isiah would...

---The Lakers practically gave away Shaq, why not Kobe? Kobe for all intents and purposes will walk in a couple of years --- why lose him for nothing?

they gave away shaq b/c they HAD kobe already.

once you move kobe, you have nothing to sell your fanbase. lakers need a superstar like the knicks need a superstar. otherwise that franchise will be as insignificant as ours.

lakers fan may have to prepare for the return of the van exel, threatt, and elden years...

The Lakers got back a guy who has been an all star and a guy picked high in the lottery who has become an all star for Shaq.

Kobe, unlike Shaq, is still in his prime and is undoubtably the face of the Lakers. They should expect more than what they got for Shaq and certainly nothing less, which is what the Knicks have to offer.

I don't understand your point. I only mentioned them in the instance that we don't get Kobe, those are some of the guys that will be part of what we're doing going forward. I wasn't saying anything about how good they are or not. Those guys are likely to be here even if we trade for Kobe. I was merely pointing out that we have a plan in place already even if we don't get Kobe and we'll just continue to develop the team along those lines.

Isiah added players who are more defensive minded and that was a true need for this team. Now we can draft to fill other needs. Getting Kobe changes everything since that would change our focus in terms of what we'll look to do wth the roster from then on.

Hooray for the unsexy players that Isiah got. My point is that OTHER teams have way better youth who were LOTTERY picks a la Deng, Gordon, etc. to offer or Al Jefferson and the #5 pick.

WE DO NOT HAVE THOSE ASSETS and that is why a player like Curry and (not or) Lee would go to LA. Unfortunately, thereafter Kobe finds himself in the SAME situation with the Knicks as he did in LA. Low picks with limited upside and hooray, Marbury.

Surely no one is suggesting that we not look to add a guy who is considered the Best player in the League? I'd like to hear why we shouldn't be looking to add Kobe if he becomes available.

And Buss already publicly said he regrets trading Shaq but the Homers ignore the facts.

sorta like some of you are ignoring the fact that Kobe's publically demanded to be traded i guess... & enough w/the Homers labels please... thinking that Kobe coming to NY is a realistic possibility doesn't make you a Homer or a Hater.

They could sell a frontcourt of the near future (if Bynum is the lockdown superstar everyone around here already destines him to be) and make themselves out to be the victims in the ego-maniacal-player-holds-poor-widdle-organization hostage story that is always told on sports radio. David Lee would be the "antithesis'" and "the dawn of the new Lakers"

Kobe isnt going to be around forever --- especially given how flighty he is. Kobe is practically telling the world he wants to move on...you want to keep sitting on that powder keg?

After that video, Kobe's price is dropping. Its almost becoming where, not if, now. Kobe going to NY just makes sense.

There's so many damn threads, I didn't want anyone to miss it. I could have posted on five other threads, but that would be getting rediculous. This is obviously a game to you.

I am all for getting Kobe to NY but I want to get read of Eddy and Marbs at the same time.
This trio is absolutely bad match - 3 players who cannot show anything without the ball. Eddy and marbs should not be mentioned in one sentence with Kobe and should not play on same team.
But moronic Isiah probaly think that this might work (as usual)

This is exactly why I am suggesting 'buyout'. Especially starbury. It makes room for Kobe's contract. If L.A. wanted Curry, then they could have him also. It is almost possible that the Knicks could end up giving up only one, maybe two at the most of our young guys. I'd offer Frye and Nate immediately, or one of them and the #23. Who says we don't have pieces to deal? Of course we do! But a buyout (or maybe a certain amount of overall money) would almost certainly help a deal go through.

Look guys, if the brass could offer Houston a 100 mil., sign starbury for a huge amount of money, as well as the many other millions lost. If they can take all of those chances (and they were all' chances) then they most certainly pay even more to reverse the economic slide.
I'll never trust this' team again.
