Lee is a known commodity. Top 3 rebounder, highly efficient offense around the basket, good finisher and passer, borderline All-Star. I wouldn't give up a player like that for the chance to take a college player who may or may not wind up being as effective at the NBA level.

b/c youre a jerk.

and he's not (i can use bold too), a top 3 rebounder.

Hey bobs aren't you the same guy that said "Good" when Jamal Crawford got hurt?
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

hey Kam, don't knock bob because he said what half of this board was thinking.
We only won 33 games with Crawford this season

...With Jamal missing 1/3 of them.

I'm a big believer in Gerald Green, so I'd do the deal. During the draft that we took Frye, Nate and Lee I was hoping we'd either take Bynum or Green with the first pick. I was surprised to see Green fall so far.

He's already shooting 37% from the arc, he's an incredible athlete and a friend of mine who's a fanatical Celtic fan tells me he has a very good work ethic. He's got great size (6'8) for the 2 and when he fills out, he'll be effective at the 3 as well. He's four years behind David Lee, but in the end, I think Gerald Green will be the better player.

If we can get Green and the early pick for Lee, Nate and our pick at 23, I'd pull the trigger.

David Lee is not a top 3 rebounder.

He is not a top 5 rebounder.

He is not a top 10 rebounder

10.4 rebounds per game - good for 11th in the league.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

The one that was floating around the gym -- the Knicks' David Lee and Nate Robinson for Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair and the No. 5 pick -- has no chance of happening.

that deal is so obscenely in favor of the Knicks it's not even funny... i'd have made that trade even w/o the #5 pick... Gerald Greene is going to be a stud.

If this team wants to be good one day they need to start holding on to players like Lee, Balk, Collins. I think it's nobrainer. You have something good - keep it.
The players we can get read of are Steph, Steve, jeffries, malik, Q, Big Snuck, Rose. But who needs this slam. Craf, Eddy, Fry, Nate are not lost cases yet but not to much gold also. But againg not to many want this guys too.
We will not trade this year...

10.4 rebounds per game - good for 11th in the league.

What determines rebounds per game?

* how well you rebound
* how many minutes per game you play
* how many missed shots you have the opportunity to rebound

Lee doesn't look quite as good using rebounds per game because he doesn't get a ton of minutes and he plays on a bad defensive team (hence, fewer opportunities to rebound).

Once you factor out minutes played and rebound opportunities, what you have left is something that measures just how well you rebound. In terms of who rebounds well, Lee is third in the league.

• Lots of teams are targeting the Celtics' No. 5 pick. GMs believe that Celts chief Danny Ainge will want a quicker fix to his team than the No. 5 pick can provide.

So far it seems as though the Celtics haven't heard a serious offer. The one that was floating around the gym -- the Knicks' David Lee and Nate Robinson for Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair and the No. 5 pick -- has no chance of happening.

I don't want to move david lee, but since he said this has no chance of happening, i was wondering who would actually look to make this move.....

Number 5: Conley, Green, Brewer, Wright? It would be a tough deal to pass up

If the Knicks are seriously going after a top draft pick, then I beleive they are going to use that pick, along with a package that could bring Kobe to New York! That would be the only reason Lee would be included. Otherwise, it just doesn't make any sense to give up Lee.
I'll never trust this' team again.

David Lee is a top 5 rebounder i don't know what some of you have been watching he is playing 30 minutes a night and average over 10rbs. The leaders in the league are playing almost 8 minutes more a night, you think he isn't going to to get two more rbs.....

I still do this deal if its on the table, and i do what i can to get horford at the 5 slot considering he is 6'10 with a 7'3 wingspan hardworking and will average a double double and play better defense, while securing a 6'8 sg that can stroke the three and is still 3 years away from really becoming a star......

You think the following isn't attractive when we have cap space, and we could always give away frye to the pistons with two bad contracts and a future draft selection while Marbury and Francis is coming off the books, freeing up more space

Curry
Horford
Balkman
Greene
Collins

Really the trade is the No. 5 for Lee. The celts have to think is Lee worthy of the 5 pick right now?

Nate for G Green? Red Auerbach would role in his grave if he knew Nate would be running around pretentending to be the "Lucky Charms" leprchaun!

Telfair and Steph in the same lockerroom? Could be good, or there could be a shoot out. Im not sure that chemistry is good. But for the Anucha suit it would show at least Dolan can bring in some talented cousins. Maybe the line could go like: "Steph passes the tourch to his younger cuz!"
