i still think they are talented enough to win in the east. however, can they get better? they must because miami will be hungrier next year and i see other teams in the east having an aggressive summer. camby will help but what would they trade to denver to get the deal done? will it weaken the team more? they are getting older and for two season straight that was exploited in the playoffs by younger players. they may make minor changes but they won't panic. san antonio was in the same boat last year and waited it out and now they are poised to win again.

Maxiell is really good i don't think you know how good this guy can be, he is very similiar to ben wallace he just needs a little more polish......

they should try to sign and trade chancey if they can to see what they can get in return, perhaps to the hawks for a pick......if they can get him on the cheap obviously they should re-up him but 10 million is a fair offer even though he essentially played at a discount.....

Does Nazr Mohammed have any value to the Knicks? I liked him the first time around as a Knick, even though his footwork was terrible. :) Can he provide good minutes next to Curry? Does he provide enough shot blocking? He's taller and tougher than any of our PF options, perhaps w/ the exception of Morris who has yet to get a chance.

Any chance Detroit would trade Mohammed for James (ie a different type of body with fewer years remaining)...

Regarding Chauncey I think he's been exposed. He's really not any better (or worse) than Marbury... he was just in the right place at the right time for Detroit to win a title. There's nothing special about his leadership or playmaking. He's solid... that's it.

The zen master would kill himself if he didn't have one of the best players ever on the team. How else is the triangle supposed to work?
