I wonder if he's bluffing and this is just a power move to get them to bring back West.

If not, the offseason just got a lot more interested. The no trade clause thing makes things especially interesting.

He should have done this from jump without slinging mud.

LOL @ Jerry Buss for trading Shaq and riding KOME. He got burned I knew this wouldn't last.

But once again KOME taking the spotlight away from Basketball, this guy is good damn good

i don't think you trade kobe, no matter what the circumstances.

how does an organization lose shaq AND kobe in a matter of 3 years?

you ADD to the mix - you trade lamar + bynum and get the best big man available, which may be enough for jermaine or zach.

lakers trading kobe...about a 2% chance of happening. (and 2% is high)

I agree as much as I dislike KOME CRYANT Buss can't make another repeat mistake in trading this superstar just because their's turmoil. Let some time pass......

Bend OVAH and take all of this up the Bunghole in the meantime

I actually think indy would take that deal in a heartbet actually and it would make them better and they could package lamar for somone and start over with bynum/diago/granger

words don't mean anything without actions. the lakers are in no way required to trade him now. if they go get jermaine o'neal - what will kobe say then? and then turnaround and trade for artest? i bet kobe does an about face really quick.

I say trade anyone on the team except Curry to get him...

Did Marbury improve himself enough his year to be anything of a trade asset?

Even so, I can see way more teams offerring better deals. The no-trade clause might be helpful though, as I can't imagine him wanting to go to some small market even if they can offer up better players.

lakers don't pick up the phone unless curry is involved.

why aren't the lakers able to do better with a top player and top coach?

I think the lakers would win as many, or more games, if they got Nate, Lee, Frye & Francis for Kobe.

Lee is the perfect Phil Jackson player- maybe a bit too much like Luke Walton to work with both.

Maybe they believe in Bynum.

KOME has killed any chance they didn't have in the first place to land those players. Maybe they could get Artest but that's dangerous. GM's now see, if they didn't already Lakers have no options. Now it's time to pony up offers for KOME. Lakers don't have any valuable assets besides Bynum. With Odom and Kwame having major off-season surgeries they both a damaged goods players.
