Yeah but you forgot that Crawford has the snickerdoodle receipe. Starbucks coffee + snickerdoodles = cash money.

I think that with Durant coming to the Sonics, there may be more support for the team to stay. If they do, Crawford will help put people in the seats.

The trade proposal is decent but I would rather trade for Lewis. You offer them Frye, Rose, and Crawford and our pick for Lewis and their two second round picks. They get a PF/C prospect in Fyre, a guy that is coming off the books in another year in Rose, and a local product in Crawford who can backup both guard positions. The Sonic can then move Allen for more pieces and totally rebuild their team with young talented players and future draft picks.

I would like to keep Nate if possible, because we need his outside shooting.

Jamal Crawford is not highly regarded in Seattle. We all need to get that idiotic idea out of our minds. He was tarde bait in Chicago during his rookie contract, Seattle never got involved, he was a RFA on the market in Chicago, Seattle never put any kind of package offer on the table to acquire him, he was available this past deadline, Seattle offered nothing. It might be one thing to suggest Seattle is a strong viable destination for him if Ray Allen wasn't there but that's not the case.

another good, but not great player looking for big time money, and he is not the type of player that could elevate a team to a legitimate playoff contender. Some fool will sign him to a michael redd type deal, and will financially set their franchise back years....

Yep when he signed his last contract he was comparing his numbers to Kobe coming out of high school and felt he max worthy. He backed off his comments after the owners were having no part of it. He started at $100mil hint, then was seriously expecting an $80mil dollar deal. He ended up pissed signing a 6yr/$60mil deal but pretended to save face because there was no market out there according to his expectation.

Isn't it interesting how the Knicks are interested in every player out there? Carter, Lewis, O'neal, Artest, K.G., Allen, possibly Walker.

no thanks.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I agree that Lewis is not a max player and should not earn more than $10 mill a season. But he can help this team because we need players that know how to play without turning over the ball and who can hit open shots.

Rashard is going to get the max and he's at least close to being worth it. He'll be a big plus for this team if we can get him for a reasonable deal.

more sad than anything. when will people learn that paying players like this, won't win you a thing. this is all about lewis pockets, actually seattle is the best match for him, out there with ray, and crew. The knicks need to develop what they have, stop with the stupid big deals for marginal players and wait until a player that can elevate your team is available, then make the move...

you are kidding right? he is no where close to being max player, and there is no such thing as reasonable deals for knicks and free agents. as soon as the knicks show interest, their demands for money lose all reasonableness.

Nope, I'm not kidding. He scores more than 20 ppg, shoots close to 40% from the arc and close to 90% from the foul line, rebounds well for a sf and goes to the line a fair amount. His defense is lacking, which is why I said he's close to being worth the max. Hey, it's not like there are a lot of players like that available to us.

Take out channing and replace him with rashard Lewis. That's a huge upgrade especially in speed.

With lee, balkman and rashard you have 3 guys that can rotate between the 3 and the 4.

I'm just throwing stuff out there. Knicks still need an athletic bruiser. Maybe that guy can be obtained with Jared and channing.

Knicks need that type of revamp without changing too much of the chemistry or game plan.

I like the scenario, but the Knicks barely have any chemistry to change.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Awesome. I don't care if it is only for a couple of seasons, but getting an all-star for Crawford, Nate, The Caped Crusader and a pick at the end of the first is an AWESOME deal, especially when you consider teams will pay for doubling Curry. And getting him in this proposed deal doesn't affect the cap negatively at all, it consolidates the roster, gets James off the roster and gets the Knicks a legitimate All Star... what's not to love?

My initial thoughts when I heard the news. Especially the part of getting rid of Jerome. I just don't want anymore five year contracts in this deal. Two, maybe' three at the most.
I'll never trust this' team again.

No way we can get RL without a sign and trade for a five year deal.
