Optimism appeared in Portland the day they got away from targeting questionable attitudes and potential and instead focusing on guys with great attitudes and work ethic. It beats potential everytime.

Very very true.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Trade Alridge for what? The guy is still under a rookie contract and Oden isn't going to come right in and lead Rip City to the Promised Land. Not right away, he isn't.

Wouldn't it makes sense for Portland to allow the players to develop some sort of rep within the NBA in the event they decide to trade that player down the line? Instead of just walking into the office and deciding that we have to trade all these players NOW?

Think.

Why would someone trade pick 2 from last year who played darn well? I think that if someone goes--it would be Randolph--but I tell you I would keep them all. Start Oden and Randolph and use Aldridge as my third guy.

ISIAH IS A FUCKING IDIOT

Bad Attitudes: Mo Taylor, Jalen Rose, Steve Francis, Nate Robinson, Stephon Marbury, Woods
Poor Work Ethic: Mo, Vin Baker, Rose, Francis, Marbury, Robinson, Morris, Curry, James

Thinking about Draft: Williams?

Exactly!

Oden and Randolph makes sense because each player compliments each other. And Alridge is the perfect reserve seeing as how he can spell both Oden and Z-Bo.

LaFrentz, Magloire, Pryz are the players who should be considered for the proverbial Trading Block.

Scott Skiles isn't going to add a player with a questionable work-ethic and a killer to the team-chemistry.

I would keep everyone Randolph, Aldridge, with Oden at least at first to see how the lineup works out. Aldridge you have backing up Zach.
Right now Portland might be very shaky in terms of scoring down low if they move Randolph but with him you have a guy who can give you easy 20 points a night. Its not everyday you come across a legit low post scorer. If Zach acts like a jackass and disrupts the team than you try to move him. Granted this scenario is bit of a risk but I think its worth taking.

Starting Oden and Randolph and bringing Aldridge off the bench to back up both of them is probably the best plan for Portland. Even if you want to trade Aldridge, you'll get much better value after a year or two when he develops his game more. Or as bitty points out, if Randolph doesn't get his personal act together, you try to move him and start Aldridge and Oden.
