DJsunyc Crawford picked uphis threepoint after he stopped coimg off bench behind Francis... I think he needs to have more real plays run for him, less of the one on one stuff.

can't run any plays from crawford since he's the only guy that can feed eddy in the post.

I don't really agree with that DJ, but I don't think it's ideal to rely on Jamal Crawford, Quentin Richardson and Channing Frye to be the 1, 2 and 3 best post feeders to Curry. Having a healthy Houston would have been ideal, but that's spilled milk.

I think it's best to draft Almond and get another pick and go for a Sean Williams. Signing Kapono for maybe half the MLE would be a nice idea. That gives you 2 reliable and consistent shooters already who can play smart ball.

I'd rather draft the two-guard then spend 5mm$ on Jason Kapono. We cant fill up our roister with guys like jefferies kapono James these are just one-dimensional parts[role players] and we should NOT pay that much for them. Miami will pay kapono 3-4mm per because he's on the team--I dont want to trump Miami I dont think its good money. If Kapono copuld play a variety of positions like a Diaw--then it would be different---otherwise Id rather save the $$$ drafdt Almond and seriously consider moving something like Frye or Morris out to bring Williams in.

Please do not sleep on Cook. If he is there the Knicks have to give serious thought about selecting him instead of Almond. Cook played against an elite opponents and looked like a budding superstar as a freshman. While Oden got the attention, Cook was out there helping the Buckeyes win games.

I wasn't following it closely, but I thought Cook started his season very well, then faded. I don't know why. He's not bad defensively and a pretty good athelete.

Agreed. I was just saying it wouldn't be terrible if we got him for just part of the MLE, like at most half, b/c then he'd at least be tradeable at any given moment. I think he'll demand the full MLE at least though, in which case, I'm not interested either.

Go for Almond, trade Frye and take a risk on Sean Williams.

THe Bulls are the number two in the at 388%. They are'nt good scorers they are the best. I feel aslong as you are shooting 35% from threes youare doinga good job. We need one more, but I don't think our shooting is bad.

we shot 35% and were 23rd in the league- is that a good job?

We have Curry sucking in defenders with loads of wide open outside looks, and we shot 35%- how is that good?

In the sense of the stats, yeah. We are talking about .00 differents, which amounts to what... one or one half three point shot per game made??? As long as you hit 35 percent you are doing good job. Curry needs that 4th and 3rd shooter to be better then Frye/Lee and JJ2/Balkman. That makes it hard on Curry and the shooters, because the double isn't from a shooter, it's those players men that double and triple.

Well, if you double off of Lee, he is going to make you pay because he is going to get the offensive rebound. So we need 3 other shooters out on the court. Marbury is decent and Q is solid. We need someone at the 2 that shoots better than Crawford and can also defend the position. I agree that is where an Almond can come in and make a solid impact. If we can get Frye to stop rushing his shot, we would have our 3rd and 4th options right there.

frye should theoretically be the perfect complement to curry in that he's a big that can shoot but he's such a coward and mentally weak i'm just not sure about him.

offensively a compliment, but the are both a wreck on the boards and guarding the rim.

I think it's amazing how Crawford shoots such an incredibly low % from 3pt land. The guy has a high chuck/quality shot ratio. From what I've seen, he's a very good spot up shooter from downtown... but he takes a lot of his 3's in motion. He'd be a more effective player overall if he had a little bit better shot selection. Just like it was a guarantee that Ewing would bobble a few rebounds out of bounds w/ his stone hands, and how Oakley would always make 1 boneheaded pass into the stands, Crawford takes 2-3 shots a game that are complete prayers. If it were NBA Jam, they'd show up as 0% chance of going in. :)

In any event, shooting 33% from 3pt range is a lot like shooting 50% from the field. Of course, w/ the longer rebounds from the 3s, you need to get your perimeter guys back on defense fast to protect against the fast break.
