Lavar postel was one of my favorite players coming outta st. Johns. He was a freak athletically. He made the mistake and proclaimed he was better than already established players before he could get his feet off the ground. What does that mean? The nba door slams in your face forever. I think he got cut from a CBA team and that was that.

Can I nominate someone from this team Ared Jefferies? Granted I should probably give him more of a chance but honestly I cann't think of one basketball skill that he possesses.

The Worst Knicks player ever is Charles Smith...This isnt even up for debate. The guy was built like a Greek God, yet he was softer than Lil' Weezy's leather. The mental images of Jordan, Pippen, and the popcorn man effortlessly blocking and swatting away his shot in the final minutes of that 1993 playoff game is still a recurring nightmare. Pathetic display.

Guys...Dudley wasn't especially skilled, but he gave quality minutes throughout his career.

Worst Knick, maybe worst player is maybe Eric Fernsten or the high (#5 maybe)Denver pick recently that was in Knick camp last year.

I dont give a damn if Smith put up better meaningless stats than other players. I dont think I have EVER seen someone come up so small in a big, defining moment. He was right under the basket! Any other player with a thimble of athleticism and a modicum of heart gets that shot in...ANYBODY.

That layup goes in, the Knicks win that series.

Yeah, the offensive skills of a 7 year old but the man could hold it down on the other end of the court.

For his career, he averaged 13.4 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per 40 minutes. During his 3 seasons with the Knicks he averaged 12 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per 40 minutes. On top of that he was physical as all get out and always busted his ass. The guy was a foul-prone, poor man's Mutombo. As far as backup centers go, Dudley was top-notch.

Though I do have to admit my opinion of Duds got knocked down a few notches when I discovered his full name is Christen Guilford Dudley. Cristen??

Understandable, but that's clearly a different poll. I'm not defending Smith, except that he doesn't fit the criteria for this one.

Chris Dudley is sort of a basketball IQ test.

Jerome James is really vying for the title of all time worst. Mirsad Turckan was probably the worst scrubby player that stuck around for a long time in the last few years. Dennis Scott had a good NBA career, but his stint with the Knicks was horrendous.

Eric Anderson was a pretty horrendous player, and he was a ridiculous looking dude with red hair. But that, and the fact that he hit a couple of 3's in garbage time made him a Garden hero.
