LOL @ the link going to another message board.

That's why the ? is in the title of the thread, it's about as credible as sighting anything Sam Smith says from the Chicago Tribune.

People want a tough coach cuz isiah is too "soft" on his players right? Sam Mitchell is what the doctor ordered for those that think the knicks need a ball bustin intense coach.

At the same time, this coach carousel is gotten out of control. It may not be a popular opinion, but I'd rather we stay with the Zekester for a least one more season for the sake of stability, at least.

That's probably the best thing the knicks can do right now. All the guys talked about being in the same system again, and being familiar with what is expected of them. isiah is the man as he should be.

Isiah wants another scapegoat to insulate himself.

Big shocker.

Even Isiah knows he can't win with this collection of <ahem> "talent" that he's assembled.

I call BS. All 4 of Isiah's previous head coaches were canned in large part because they couldn't win now with Isiah's players. If Isiah can't even win with them, then it's time for him to go and start from scratch with new management.

What the hell was the point of Isiah coaching last year if he's allowed to hire another head coach? He proved what exactly? That he can't do any better so let's give him an extension and let someone else try?

It's shocking that people still believe in Isiah.

This is just what this franchise needs. It has been one whole year since they last fired a coach, and let's face it, firing coaches is what it's all about. How can you fire the coach when the coach is the GM, and he's been signed to a contract extension?

The Knicks need to hire another coach before they can fire another coach. They could ask him to resign, or they could just humiliate him on David Letterman, then have him escorted from the garden by security guards. Man, I can hardly wait! Get it done Isiah!

This explains why Mitchell had good things to say about Marbury earlier in the season.

This is all leading in one direction - Dolan will coach. After Isiah is instated as owner.

Dear God, with all our toxic personalities, add Sam Mitchell to the mix and it might just explode.

They'll have fight club-like scenarios after losses. Nate will strike Sam with the broom and then it's on.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

nice.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

As far as the media? Sam Mitch sounds like a disgruntled knick fan. The dude is passionate. You gotta respect that.

Aside from that, style wise I think Sam Mitch is a perfect match. Isiah has been throug his share of coaches but none of them fit the plan nor the style of play isiah envisions. Isiah wants to play the way Sam Mitch got his group to play which is as a team.

Its a perfect match. I hope this rumor has legs. The players wouldn't need much of an adjustment between isiah and Sam.

We'll see what happens. I would welcome the idea.

So is Marbury forcing the GM out of coaching to move to his 6th coach?

Either that or Isiah has just realized he can't win with Marbury.

I think I remember hearing once that Mitchell was like a mentor with Marbury when he broke into the league. If that's the case, it might explain the positive things each has had to say about the other.

Pure BS. Mitchell wouldn't leave that solid core he has in Toronto for this bag of bricks.
