What i'd love to see is a picture of Eddy Curry actually attempting some on the ball defense on his man, except that we photoshop out the guy he's defending and the rock he's holding and cut in Ronald McDonald holding a big mac with Eddy reaching for it. that would make this thread work.

Disgust
is entirely inaccurate. I'm amused by the jokes. Which is why I sincerely hope this thread soon takes on the purpose for which it was intended.

I think the guy that takes himself most seriously is the guy that points out that the other guy who points out the other guy that points out the other guy that is being too serious. That is the guy that takes things too seriously.

Personally I don't think Curry is all that fat and have never posted a picture of him doing anything besides not rebounding.

It's no fiction that Curry's teammates have commented on the difficulty of getting Eddy to the gym in the off-season. Q-Rich did so just a couple of months ago. His passion for the game has also been questioned by coaches in the past, that's why we have so many debates over whether Curry needs a disciplinarian or schmoozer to motivate him.

This is not some broad sweeping bias, like attacking someone's race, ethnicity, or gender. This is a very real issue specific to Eddy Curry and his will and determination (or lack thereof) to reach his potential and justify what we gave up for him. Trying to fictionalize it and treat it like an ethnic slur is way off base and is suggestive of an unwillingness to confront reality.

Once again you and I with the round about conversation. Tell me one thing that I've said about Curry that was unfair?

He is the topic of discussion on the board for a reason. He is the centerpiece of the organization right now. When his positives outweigh his negatives you will hear the board focus on those. In the meantime you will hear the board focus on the negatives. That's reality. It's NY. It's why it's so hard to be a franchise player in NY. If the player can't handle it, he shouldn't be here. GM's have to know that only certain players can handle the scrutiny. So far I haven't seen evidence that he can't, but I've seen plenty of evidence that some fans can't.

My opinion on Curry is simple, and again I challenge you to find something that's unfair. And if you disagree with something than point that out and we can discuss it. I feel Curry has the physical tools to be one of the best players in the game today. With some polish he could get his PPG up around 25. With his size and athletic ability he could average 10-12 rebounds per game and at least 1 block(and that's being generous) per game. In my mind he is a tremendous talent that to this day has not shown the mental attitude and work ethic to take advantage of all his skills. Can he one day? Of course. Will he? I have no idea. Like any Knick fan, I know he's here for the long haul and I pray that he figures it out. In the meantime he needs to rebound and play D.

Again, point out something in my post that is unfair. If there is, we can discuss. If not, than what's your complaint? Is it possible that you are taking his criticism far too seriously? The guy has flaws, he is our centerpiece, so fans are going to talk about them. That's life.

I just find it hilarious when people get offended when people makes jokes about players on the Knicks, as if they are their brothers or cousins. I mean, I find it understandable if someone gets mad when someone makes a joke about the president, b/c he really is important, but other than that, please. We should be making jokes about our lives, b/c we need something called HUMOR! Especially since the Knicks suck and it doesn't look so bright with Dolan and Isiah continueing to lead.
