well it's interesting. magic won all his championships with kareem. oscar got to play with kareem for one season - and won a championship.

i hear you on magic's greatness. imo the only guards better were michael and oscar. i have magic tied with west as the 3rd and 4th greatest ever. it's really just a matter of preference and subjective opinion, right? magic and oscar were both otherworldly good.

You act like Magic moving to center at 2inches less than jabar is some kind of unbelievable feet, magic was truly great there is no debating it, but if you switched the two you can make the case that magic would have about one championship with kidds talent level. We are discounting the fact that kareem was healthy for nearly the entire playoff run and magic had one of the better games of all time....

I don't know if magic was the better rebounder or passer, he wasn't the better defender, scoring kidd isn't in the same class.....

But there is a big difference having players like james worthy and kareem as opposed to keynon martin and vince carter.

Those two players aren't top 100, Kareem was a top ten, worthy a top 30, it makes a huge difference

Magic won before Worthy got there and continue to win after Kareem. I think of Worthy as a poor man Vince Carter. Remember Worthy wasn't even considered a first ballot HOFer. Kidd has had tremendous talent around him as well. Magic also faired better in playoffs then Kidd. Kidd defense is better than Magic but Magic shot is ALOT better than Kidd. I just love the fact that when people try and defend Kidd they now make Carter a nobody. Carter is a top 10 scorer and a HOF. Magic played with a center who best years were behind him as well and still manage to win with a so so rookie center. Lets not fool ourselves. Its like comparing Hakeem to Ewing. Ewing was a great but he is not on the level of Hakeem.

Compare JKidd to Stockton if you must. Magic was special BECAUSE he was tall and could handle and pass like a freak. Have you ever seen another 6'9 guy be Magic? Maybe, but they would be named Oscar and Bird.

Yet we've already seen the JKidd game (Nash etc.) duplicated and done better.
