Back to the topic at hand. I think it's a shame that we have this divide. For one thing there are different things being argued on this Forum, but the labels being given aren't capable of describing all the differing opinions. That's the problem with labels. STill I think that there are those who are solidly negative and have almost no reasonable objectiveness to their posting. It's all bad all the time and no recognition of the positive.

For example, This year we came in with the PRIMARY goals of fixing the damage done last year, establishing team unity, an identity, confidence, style of play and chemistry. We had no base to build off of last year and so a slow start was expected. The number of wins and making the playoffs was SECONDARY to those goals, because we were dealing with a team that had a disasterous season and a lot of damage done to the confidence of these players. We failed to reach the goals for wins and playoffs, but we did reach the primary goals for this season. Next year we'll have a new set of goals. If you're a fan of a developing team these kinds of STEPS are necessary and should be expected, but to me the guys that I often refer to as "haters" don't want to recognize any of this. They base everything on wins and playoffs. For the stage that we're at that's not the only thing that matters.

NO ONE is ignoring the flaws of this team. No one loves everything that has happened, since clearly there have been mistakes made with personnel and who could love some of these players that aren't performing or don't fit? It's a given that we would need to make improvements in the roster and to continue to develop our players. The thing is that if you don't have the patience to see that happen then you don't have a clue to how these things go. You want to make steady improvements and very few teams are able to fix everything in one season. To me it's a question of reasonable expectations.

I have noticed that Curry has a tendency to let guards get rebounds. Most big men go aggressively after rebounds even when guards are around and could get them. Curry tends to let the pg get the ball instead going after the rebounds himself, which I think causes him to lose 1 or 2 rebounds a game right there (and is also part of the reason our guards have above average rebounding numbers). IMO, rebounding is not the problem. This team was one of the top rebounding tems even with Curry playing significant minutes. All I want to see is imrpovement in his individual and especially, his help defense. Curry needs to lose another 15-20 pounds, work on his lateral movement, and start taking the time to study his defensive assignments and opponents tendencies and bring more effort on defense. If he does that, I don't care if he only averages 6 rebounds a game.

Curry's next level of improvement will come with the things we've been mentioning all year, better D, Reb and Passing. I agree that if he can lose weight that will only help him to be able to do more on the floor. I was glad to hear him mention his diet, cuz I have a feeling that his current diet is HORRIBLE. I don't care how much you move around, if you're gonna eat a diet that is full of fatty foods and loads of Carbs, then you aren't gonna lose any fat.

If all of you guys would think about it for a moment, Curry averages 7 rebounds because he is double and triple teamed in the post, so if you already have a guy behind you, one infront of you and one flashing on eihter side of you, its not that easy to get to the rim for rebounds without going over the back !!!!!

Tyson Chandler averages 12 rebounds per game because nobody is guarding him in the post so he can get to the rim at will !!!

I know your probably thinking, the one exception is Duncan, but he is surrounded by shooters so they are not true double teams. Who do you leave ? Parker, Manu, Bowen, Barry, Findog ???

Just out of curiousity

Where is this team's confidence?
What is this team's style of play?
What is this team's identity?

You watched the games and you still don't know? The team had a TON of confidence, it was poor execution that led to many of the losses. 17 TO's a game and tons of missed FT's can do that to you. However, the team didn't have confidence to start the year and gained a ton of confidence as the season went along. They fought their way back into the fans hearts at the Garden. Young guys like Balkman and Collins grew before our eyes. Curry also gained a ton of confidence. Before their injuries Q and Jamal were having very good seasons. Steph finally put things together and was playing with confidence after a shaky start.

The Style of play and identity is easiest of all. This team is a Post oriented team and one that looks to attack the basket relentlessly. IF you have the player that leads the league in points in the paint and your starting PG is best at penetrating and drawing fouls, your leading rebounder has a FG% of 60%, then clearly you are a team that pounds teams inside and on the glass. this is a team that has gained a rep as never being out of a game. They've climbed back from huge deficits all year and had a good record in overtime games. This team is tough and doesn't give up.

Ok, explain his pathetic defensive rebounding.

Eddy is a true gentelmen
He will give his seat to the woman in the train (I am not sure he ever was in the Train )
He will help handicaped or elderly to carry the bags if his body guards will be busy with attacking girls
He will give the rebounds to Knicks guards (they need stats) and to David (he will never take the his bread from the guy), and even to oppsite team players - they also need to earn for living.
Yes - he is a great gentelmen...
