Spree, its a real sad tale...I turned down a job in Florida last year because I love the City so much...Now, I'm really having second thoughts...I have a home in Brooklyn and was lucky enough to buy in the mid 90s...My parents have a home in the Caribbean whose annual tax I paid last year while visiting...How much? Glad you asked...$70.00 Eastern Caribbean dollars which translates to $26.00 US dollars for a house on a 31,000 square ft. property...The monthly water bill comes out to about $10.00 USD per month with normal use(washing machine and all)...With the internet and Satellite TV..I'm beginning to wonder if I need to be in the US much less New York City... If I can make half of what I'm making now, doing what I do now in the Caribbean, I would be able to save much more than I do now...The kids are the only thing that's in the way right now...But Spree, I'm really thinking about it...Also, the City is just too crowded..I can't imagine what it will be like in another 10 years...Something has to give..
