Believe me. No one hates chicago more than I do. You can count on that one. But yes' even I' the biggest hater of that team, I do admire how they came back and how it is showing. And pay attention folks, because this is how they did it.
They managed the money and contracts very, very well. They protected it, because they know damn well that there is a cap in this league and didn't want to ruin they're chances in the long run, clogging it all up on hope rather than guarantees, or at least a higher chance of a guarantee. I could clearly see that they weren't making any big commitments, staying patient, even if it meant losing for awhile, but more importantly keeping the money safe, waiting for the right moves to come along. To have that money readily available to make offers to solid all around players, including one's attitude and character. And all the while, picking up high draft picks. Making as solid picks as they could, until some panned out. Hinrich, Gordon to name a few. And now that they managed the money, they finally were able to offer a guy like Ben Wallace a contract, something we were in no position to do. Someone who could take the young guys to the next level. And now with money still to offer yet another big name free agent a contract after this season is over. Not to mention yet another draft pick from us. No hype to deal with, no embarrassment to have to put up with. Just solid basketball men, management, players. My God! This has been my number one complaint, as far as management goes. I got to admit that the bulls are one of the very few prime examples on how to manage a team to success. I love that kind of management. I hate them dearly, but I do admire the thing we have none of. Good solid management! f_k!
I'll never trust this' team again.
