I hope the knicks get the 13th pick. What a freakin relief that would be.

Not possible. You can't drop more than 3 spots and we won a tiebreaker. It would also require three teams lower than us hopping into the top three just to move down to 12th. Considering the odds of that would be like .0001%, I think I can safely say we won't be any lower than 10th, likely be 9th and have a small chance of hopping into the top 3... for the Bulls.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

the Camby deal is bad then you take into account that the KNicks could have drafted Amare instead of Nene. Simply backbreaking deal that destoyoed the team for about 5-10 years.

Yep, but rumor at the time was we were drafting Nene regardless. If you're going to talk about missed draft opportunities, there's a lot of them: Artest, Bynum, Tyrus Thomas, etc etc... Amare would've been nice, but I don't think he was on the Knicks radar, regardless of that trade.

I have to dissagree. Scotty was wayyyyy overated. He was nothing without jordan. I guarantee he would not have those six rings without jordan. And when jordan was gone for a few years, that was proven. Scotty couldn't carry that team.

Okay? Still doesn't change the fact that (1) the Knicks would have had Pippen playing next to Ewing (2) he wouldn't have been on Chicago (3) he's one of the 50 greatest players of all-time (4) the Knicks still would have had another lotto pick to play alongside Ewing and (5) Pippen > Nene + Camby.

Okay I'll give you that. The only thing. He's on the 50 greatest (I'm still laughing at that one) because of jordan.

Overrated? Maybe. Nothing without Jordan? Not so much.

Pippen was a great player, a tremendous defensive presence and was willing to accept the number two role. Some guys can never do that.

A look at Pippen without Jordan:

"1993-94: There Is Life Without Jordan
However, the 1993-94 Bulls proved there was life without Michael Jordan. Although Chicago didn't win its fourth straight championship, it posted a 55-27 record (for second place behind the Atlanta Hawks in the Central Division) and advanced to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. But for the first time in four consecutive playoff matchups, the New York Knicks eliminated the Bulls, though it took them seven games to do it.

Scottie Pippen had a tremendous season in all facets of the game. The leading vote-getter for both the All-NBA First Team and the NBA All-Defensive First Team, he ranked eighth in the league in scoring (22.0 ppg), 23rd in rebounding (8.7 rpg), 19th in assists (5.6 apg), and second in steals (2.93 per game). Pippen also won MVP honors at the 1994 NBA All-Star Game, in which he was joined for the first time by teammates Horace Grant and B. J. Armstrong."

That was a damn good Knicks team that needed seven games to knock off those Pippen led Bulls. And I guarantee Jordan would not have those six rings without Pippen.

Yea Scottie was overrated. Another guy that has no concept of the game.....

So the year ousted the Knicks in 94' had it not been for that Dick Bevetta call all by himself meant nothing.

Forget that he was one of the top 3 defenders in the entire NBA

Career 16pts 6.4rbs 5.2ass 1.96stls 47%fg

Without Jordan
93-94 22pts 8.7rbs 5.6ass 2.93stls
94-95 21pts 8.1rbs 5.2ass 2.94stls 1.13blks

So overated, you must think isiah does a good job.....

I think Ty Thomas/Conely Jr. would rank up there

C'mon- The Ewing trade by far was the worst trade:

1) We got an injured, overpaid declining Glen Rice, an injured Longley, and useless overpaid Travis Knight.

3) We trade Glen Rice for Shandon Anderson and Howard Eisley, who were both horribly overpaid.

3) We didn't let Ewing's $18 mil contract expire and doomed ourselves to cap hell.

You have two 3's. Also, your first 3 was a separate trade.

My bad on the 2 3's....but Rice for Shanderson would've never happened without the Ewing trade. It was the move triggered the nightmare.

the Eddy Curry deal

What about a #1 pick for Erick Strickland, then trading Strickland and a #1 for Othella Harrington. You can't beat that.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

The Curry trade might be the worst in NBA history. I can't remember a team ever giving up consecutive lottery picks for any player let alone someone like lazy Eddy

Agreed. Every single player in the Y Curry trade is better than Y Curry. Even Tim Thomas!!! How bad is that!!!?

Yup, got banned also. But what do you expect right? It's Dolan board! Good to see you did not lose your mind either. You got out in time. Welcome. I love this board. It's kind of humbling. Intimate I think I can say.
I'll never trust this' team again.
