Bassy needs to avg shooting 1000 practice jumpers per day to really better himself as an effective pg in the association.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

didn't telfair go off on marbury for not supporting his family enough once he made it or something like that. i doubt they'd co-exist. plus the guy likes to pack heat wherever he goes, whose to say he will stop now.

Telfair is going to be a Knick.

Then we can hear from Isiah about how:

He said he would have to get players in unusual ways

and

How Telfair is like having another first round pick.

That was pretty funny Isles.

Marbs is pretty secure with his role/contract and being a shoe philathropist of the highest order.

I think the Marbs of old would have really tossed him out but I have another theory which is like giving a grumpy old dog a puppy to mentor they both benefit.

Marbs could really be seen as his young cuz savior teaching him the ropes and IF Bassy ever succeeds he can be seen as the older cousin looking and would actually get credit for helping him out. Perhaps Marbury, with a massive net worth can ease on out of the spotlight with grace while his family succeeds.

I'd take Telfair over Nay Nate any day. Nay Nate is a better player but was too special and perhaps has some trade value.
Im thinkin Isiah gets some trades done that open spots. IN fact, hes pretty good at filling in the roster.

Its the trade im worried about!

From what I have seen of both players, Telfair is slightly better as a passer but Nate is a much more well-rounded offensive player. And, since both don't know how to run a team yet, I would have to take the polished offensive player over a guy that can make a few flashy passes but has no consistency in his offensive or defensive game. Right now Nate is far more valuable than Telfair.

if we signed telfair, he would be coming cheap- vets min type deal.

I wouldn't mind rolling the dice if he and marbs could get along and we cleared some of our excess backcourt (Nate, Q, Francis) and got a strong shooter back.

Telflair is still worth a pick up. He needs to eat some humble pie. He's gotta realize he is just a ball player, not Wesley snipes in the movie "Sugar Hill".

He has natural ability with absolutely no basketball IQ. He is a poor mans marbury. Hope he can learn the game before he turns 30 like marbury. He is still a young guy with unlimited potential.

Since when is a poor man's Marbury worth it ?

Marbury himself isn't worth it.

What has Telfair shown since high school?

He's a pass-first PG, but beyond that, is there anything about his game that we'd benefit from? He doesn't seem to have the right type of athleticism to be a good defender, he's on the smallish side for a PG, and he's a weak shooter. Not only that, it seems like he's been bypassed by other young PGs at every stop.

It's not like they're playing veterans over him. Jack, Delonte, and Rondo ripped the playing time away from him.
