I think trading Curry instantly makes the Knicks a better team. We do need size upfront, so we'd need to get a 6'10"+ guy who can move in return. Although I think Frye plays better next to Lee than next to Curry, my preference would be to get rid of both Frye and Curry. The player we really need at center is Bynum or Oden, but since that isn't possible, I'm not sure what the best option is. Curry + Frye should be able to nab something good in trade, ideally someone younger than 30, so who would you like for that package?

They will NEVER let Bynum go! Not until he's old. We had yet another' chance to get him too, but we opted for Frye. And what about the money, when talking of trades?
I'll never trust this' team again.

90% of our roster seems better suited playing a golden state helter skelter type of offense as well as scrambling help defense.

we have athletes on the team that get up and down the court. would we be better off moving curry and making this team all out run and gun?

We need to dump this WIDE LOAD A.S.A.P.

This is just like 'fantasy basketball'. Everything works in fantasy. That's it! That's why most people aren't making sense here. In reality, we're screwed, but in fantasy Knicks land, things are moving foreward. Don't worry, I'm not being negative. That's just a fantasy.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Blue can you break down the technical terms on what this offense is described as? You know "Boogie Oogie" whatever you said about 2mos ago. Hilarious stuff you said.

I don't remember what I called it back then, but it was supposed to be a combination of three great offenses: Kobe in the octagon, John Wooden's high post Hollywood Shuffle, and Bobby Knight's throwing chairs at his players.

We were told by some it would prove not only Isiah's genius, but that Larry had to be sabotaging the team with his halfcourt offense.

All seems so long ago now.

I don't want anyone to get excited but word is coming out of a bunker in Southside Chiacgo that Isiah is experimenting with a new 4-guard rotation. Thats right, not a 3-guard rotation, but a 4-guard rotation he is calling a "salute to the bad boys." He says he expects it to be just as effective as the "quick" offense," but only more so. Expectedly, Nixluva and Misterearl were found writing "thank you" letters outside of the hidden bunker. They were arrested soon after.

In other news, Isiah has also come up with a sparkling new defense called the "Naismith tripoint siege," which allows Eddy Curry to basically just stand there while the rest of the team guards his man. One Eastern Conference executive, whom we spoke to under conditions of anonymity, looked somewhat puzzled and said "How was that different from last year?" We'll leave that up to you to decide.

Finally, and most remarkably, there are rumors that Crawford may streak across arenas throughout the playoffs in an attempt to rekindle interest in the floundering team during the post-season. Isiah was quoted as saying, "since we don't have meaningless games in which to play him, we thought we'd find other ways in which to make him look stupid." Calls to Crawford were not returned as he was possibly in the process of getting naked.

BTW, if we win 35 games next year, is that LB's fault too?

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

One thing the knicks have that the rest of the league doesn't is 5 guys in the backcourt that can get to the basket. The knicks should be driving to the basket every play and curry and frye should be getting easy buckets all day.

This is where I fault Isiah. Just because he was a backcourt specialist in his heyday his foucus on attacking pg'instead of competent multidimesional frontcourt players

You can always pick up a Mo Wlliams type of guy nowadays in the draft or overseas

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I agree with that and this off season is the time to trade Eddy. We suffered through a season of artificially inflating his stats and his trade value is higher than it's been in the past. Isiah's not gonna be able to increase his minutes by 7 mpg again next season to make it appear as though Eddy improved again next year. How many 1st rd picks does Philly have? I know they got some for Iverson. Dalembert and late 1st rd pick would be a steal for us but I don't know if they'd do that. I can't imagine Isiah doing it anyway. Defense is too "overrated" to him.

We'll be better RIGHT AWAY by trading Curry...

But A.) He's worth more to us than he is to others

and B.) In the long run we might actually be better by keeping him...

Lemme clarify -

As a fan I'd rather trade him though.

Here we have a league with about 3 centers,( quality ones) and you guys are ready to ship him out in ordert o play scappy ball. In stead of finding some guys who can shoot from the perimeter ( which almost every gsw player can do consisitanly) to surround curry.

Remember those guys on GS J rich, al, ellis, BD, S jackson, pietres, can drive and shoot 3s all day long, and...also rebound. We led the league in FT because we pounded the ball inside and had no perimeter threat, the exact opposite of the Allan/spree/rice days.
