bippity - Ron Artest broke a camera. Hal McRae tore up his office.
That does not make either of them a winner.
Here's the deal with Marbury and The Seven Yoots. The Knicks 9 man core (excluding Francis, Cato, Rose and James) is younger than at any point in the recent history (last 30 years) of the NYK franchise.
Does the coach have the undivided attention of his players and was/is he a winner?
The maturation process seems to be the Knicks toughest opponent.
The (im)patience of the so-called "knowledgable" Knicks fans is a distant second.
MisterEArl: the King of simplyifying an argument, nitpicking sentences and ignoring the point. A joy to talk with. Busting up the locker room in this case was a metaphor for sho NYers you care. But I know you knew this, you just enjoy doing what you do.
YOu have heard Malik, Q and even Isiah
"The best part of this year was actually when we were losing at home and everything was bad, getting booed every night," Thomas reflected. "Just making the guys stand up and fight for it."
echo my exact points yet you argue. If you bust your ballse you will be applauded regardless of record. If you need proof just re-watch the standing O Jamal got in his return. Just re-play the chants of defense during the last home game. But if you make excuses and indicate to the fans that you don't care as much as they do(whether that's right or wrong) you will be criticized. Every New Yorker knows this. Every fan in this room loves Starks, Oak, Pat, Latrell etc. These names are legendary Yet those guys never won a championship. Once again proving my point.
