Because the assumption is that Brown & Wilkens were fired because of there records. But they Quit/Fired because they didn't agree or get along with Isiah Thomas & in Brown case Isiah Thomas & James Dolan. Now this is speculation but I have a strong feeling that if Wilkens and Isiah Thomas were on the same page and both agreed on the direction the team was going then Wilkens and Thomas don't split ways. I doubt Isiah Thomas would have let hall of famer Lenny Wilkens go after only 2 seasons only based on his record. Wilkens even made the playoffs the yr before. And I doubt Isiah Thomas would have fired hall of famer Larry Brown after only 1 season for winning 23games if Brown didn't piss off James Dolan.

Larry Brown knew what type of backcourt we had before he signed with us. He also knew that they were locked into longterm contracts. So when he signed that contract to coach for us he knew what he was getting.

Isiah made the Marbury trade before Wilkens signed on as coach. Not the opposite way around.

Now I know this post kinda makes it seem like its Brown & Wilkens fault and Isiah Thomas & the players are home free. But thats not my intention. Im just putting your point of view in perspective. Thats all.

I don't know a single person who makes that assumption. Most people I know assume it's because Isiah can't share power.

Nothing like hiring two coaches in a row that you don't agree with.

Nothing like thinking you can coach better than 2 hall of fame-caliber coaches and still getting an extension when you fall flat on your face.

Did Lenny bring in Curry?.. No? Case closed.

Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.
