Ouch

>>So in reality you have had your entire unit relatively healthy for the entire year.

MS - are you serious or just being facetious here?

Isiahs starting unit going into this year was

Marbury, Francis, Jefferies, Frye, Curry was it not?

Marbury - injured now and playing hurt most of the season

Francis - injured to an extent only he knows for certain

Jeffries - injured early in season and suspended after Denver scuffle, never got in a rhythm with new rotations on new team in new city

Frye - coming back from last season's injury, playing in a new spot on the floor

Curry - solid season, no matter what anyone sez

so MS, is your point that the Knicks injuries should not make any difference in the won-loss recod because the guys you listed were projected as starters...

or do you REALLY prefer playing with only eight guys suited up?

c'mon...

besides MS, you must know it's not simply about who starts

but who finishes

(and who picks up the slack off the bench to stay close)

I would say it more about the coach, not knowing his players strengths and coaching through an agenda and without any real knowledge of how to win games.

Jefferies over Balkman
Frye over Lee
Starting Jerome James

Not using Nate as a spot of shooter, Not getting Frye involved in the offense, getting crawford to play with some control, practicing doubling curry in practice something cato said they didn't do. Not starting Francis with Marbury, using Jefferies on pf's instead.

Isiah has done an awful job as a head coach, as if its some unreal job to unify a team after you buy out two players, take another out of a rotation and then use every excuse in the book instead of stating the obvious.....

He is a terrible ****ing coach and underachieves with more talent. It was evident in Indy getting knocked out of the playoffs every single season and its evident in ny. He constructed this awful mismatched group of talent.

They are never prepared to play, they don't compete till its too late, they are sloppy, they don't defend, and don't execute the little things.

yo MS - if you have an ax to grind about coaching strategy that is one thing

I thought the position you were advancing was that the Knicks injuries don't matter in the performance, development (or W-L record) of the NY team

my bad

party on dude

Actually the injuries would have not mattered if Isiah helped establish an identity of the players instead of this me against the world everyone is against us, the officials, the league, the coaches....

Eddy Curry isn't an All-Star because he sucks as an all around player not because of Isiah, its really a shame watching Nate embarrass the organization every five minutes....

This team should have been a much better even with the ijuries

MS - the perception (if not reality) "us against the world" worked for the Oakland Athletics

what identity are you measuring from?

one more thing MS

just for the record, Eddy Curry does not suck, as you claim. He has
flaws but averaging 19 and 7 would hold up against a lot of stat lines for the season dude.

injuries matter

sheesh

if you don't think so, you don't understand the fragile balance and rhythm of the game to start with

Sounds like an average number of injuries

at some point, the "perceived" success must translate into "tangible" success (wins/losses).

when will that be? i don't know. but if the bulls end up with another high lotto pick, the pressure for "tangible" success may escalate at a quicker pace.

whole lotta averagin' goin' on

Lee - average player who happens to be an outstanding rebounder and even better passer

Jamal - average player, and fearless in the clutch (whether he makes the shot or not, he's STILL fearless and that counts for something in my book)

Quentin - average player, but useta hang out with Brandy who was above-average

Marbury - average player with a suspicious demeanor and below-average maedia skills who still managed to get him a tee vee show, but hey Magic Johnnson was below-average as a host and hung in for a few weeks on the air so what,me worry?

James - average player with plantar - which hurts in above-average spikes of pain that shoot through your heel like a nail is being driven in it with each step.

They were blessed with great health for most of the season but then hit a rough 20 game stretch. Most teams hit a rough injury stretch. Our five best position plays missed fewer games than most teams' 5 best. You should be thankful.

Lee is nothing but average he is one of the better athletes at his size in the entire league, and has an iq through the roof on the court not to mention there might not be a better finisher with either hand in all of basetball......

turnover prone 40% shooters are average you got that right

your the worst person to try to have a debate with, i think lee is missed more than anyone, injuries obviously do reflect on a teams record. But Crawford hurts as much as he helps and if you would have allowed nate to just shoot the ball and collins to take most of crawford minutes while leaving lee and balkman on the court till they could no longer go this team is in the playoffs.

MS - on the contray homeslice... I'm your absolute best buddy when it comes to a dialogue... don't hate because I challenge you to think about, or explain, what you write.

and don't get frustrated when you paint yourself in a corner - it wasn't me. I just axed an innocent question.

no need to take it anyplace personal dude

if it's too difficult to converse we can go our separate ways without any difficlty, name-calling or otherwise irrelevant snippy-ness
