Hard to do? Yes. Possibly close to impossible. Yes. But doable? Yes again. Is it the route I would go? NO! If I build around anyone on the team, I'd rather ride with Lee and Crawford.

Great; our GM picked a strategy whose success is "close to impossible." When you think about how few trade assets we have to acquire the kind of players you're suggesting, I'd say the "close to" part is unnecessary.

You can always see them through the window and get close, but you just can't touch them. Just like when I go to the Zoo. 'close to'.
