Out there most people are ripping Imus and asking that he lose his livelihood.

These are just some that I found during my 30 second search. Is it that people didn't use the exact phrase STFU that bothers you? I don't get it. I'm guessing despite the long argument between about 6 people on this site the majority of people are as disgusted as you. But I still have a hard time seeing the correlation between the reaction to a guy that has a 1 share made a racist comment and is listened to by very few on this site. And the comments by the PG of everyone's favorite team that we watch everyday and affects the outcomes of games. One guy people actually care about, the other guy we are just being told to care about his thoughts.

I wouldn't say anything because I really don't care. He's no different than the average racist on the street. Why do I want to add negativity and distraction to my day by even giving a guy like Imus life. Why not just go on with your day and enjoy the people around you.

That's why these apologies are so asinine. What does it do for anyone. It gives you a moment of happiness(if you feel bad about yourself) because you get a chance to get back at the guy that hurt you, but in the end he's still a racist and you still have the same life you had 10 minutes ago.

Who gives a fluff about Imus? He has a 1 share. Noone cared about him yesterday but he makes racist comments suddenly everyone cares who he is. The media and us, actually gave him life.

If Imus worked on ESPN and said it, he should get fired inside of 5 minutes of saying it.

If you don't like Imus (or anyone on radio), just change the station. ITs that simple.

Sas has a large black audience and it would be expected for him to preach to his constituency a position they would agree with. Its about ratings.

Personally I can't listen to Opie and Anthony, Stern, and to some extent Imus although I would say he is lessor of an idiot. Nobody is a bigger idiot than Rush on the radio. I have listened to some black oriented radio on XM, left views and Rush the dummy and they all sound very similar.

I listen to NPR, Mike and Mike (espen) and bloomberg (Financial Jew Media! Ha ha!) as the shock dummies are too gross for my ears now.

And by the way, My no. 1 comedian of all time is Richard Pryor! Talent is Talent despite the color of the skin! That man could tell a story!

One thing I have learned white people don't have to understand black people when they climb the ladder of success in our society.

But black people have to get some sort of understanding of white people when trying to climb the ladder of success.

Getting understanding is the key.
