Funny. Look at the Wizards this year who have had multiple injuries to their 2 of their 3 best players and now Arenas. Yet, they still have a 39-35 record.

Well, in fairness to the Knicks, the Wizards just lost Butler and Arenas. THey were relatively healthy for the majority of the year. So it is not like the Wizards have been playing without Butler and Areanas for half the year. In contrast, Q has been in and out of the lineup. Jeffries missed the first part of the season. Crawford and Lee have been out for about a month.

Jeffries never proved to be a diference maker so people need ignore his injury. I find it comical that Jeffries keeps getting mentioned while Steve Francis gets ignored. I bet Steve has had more impact games W-L than Jeffries. But see the Lovers and Apologizers don't like Steve so they try to make him become a forgotten memory.

YOu let any WELL PUT TOGETHER team in the league keep their top two stars and they will at least be competitive. They will definitely take a hit losing 3 of the top 5 but having your two stars is normally enough to keep you afloat. We have our top 2 stars and have utterly collapsed. Similar to the collapses during Lenny's tenure and last year.

I think it's wise for Isiah to only target players that are motivated by winning and stop fooling around with talented guys that are only motivated at times. It's obviously killing us.

I just hope that people will like me

Honestly, I just forgot to mention Francis, which might actually prove your point.

I, however, am not a lover or hater. I try to view the team objectively, but I also see no reason to be overly negative.

That hurts. Really it does.

I look at Toronto as an exception rather than the rule when it comes to new teams being put together. I give Colangelo credit for adding those european guys. That team has some guys who have experience which is conveniently ignored by those comparing the Knicks young guys to that team. The Euro players they added are quality guys who know how to play. They have fully developed games.

TJ Ford was an excellent move.
Parker is a guy with experience, he's not a kid.
Garbojosa is a guy with experience, he's not a kid.
Jose Calderon is the same with lots of Intl experience.
Bargnani is a kid, but he's not like some American kid. This guy is not only talented but that Euro system provides valuable experience.

You can't really compare that to what we have in terms of the level of development those players have coming into this season. It may be that they have a head start on us, but who knows how much better that group will be able to get. We may actually pass them in time as our young players develop more fully.

How convenient to forget him. If his absence was such an impact he wouldn't be forgotten right. Overall his impact was meaningless too I just find it comical Jeffries gets mentioned far more often than Steve.

the only team the knicks can be compared to is last year's knicks team. any other comparison would make it unfair.

Game, you are a good poster, you do view the team objectively, your arguments are well thought-out and I may disagree with them most of the time, but you do a great job in your posting.

I think the whole Francis situation is very interesting with the guys who back this team to no end. Francis is commonly dissed and left out by the "apologists" and not the "haters," but say one bad thing about Curry and you got 3/4 of the board quoting you and trying to figure out what team you root for.
