Here are some other fines for similar offenses. I wonder how they figure these fines out.

-Washington Wizards coach Eddie Jordan was fined $5,000 by the NBA on Tuesday for criticizing the officiating in a loss to the New York Knicks on Sunday night

-Jermaine O’Neal of the Indiana Pacers has been fined $15,000 for publicly criticizing officials, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Senior Vice President Basketball Operations

-Orlando Magic coach Brian Hill was fined $25,000 Wednesday by the NBA for his criticism of officials following Monday’s loss to the Utah Jazz at Salt Lake City.

-NEW YORK (Ticker) - Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson was fined $25,000 by the NBA on Wednesday for criticizing officials

It's an easy math
IT is 2 times more annoing that anybody and Yao is 2 times toller that Marbs...

isn't there some theory that the Knicks don't get home court calls because the League officials are watching the games, so the refs make a concious effort to call it even?
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Please, I'm beloved on this board. It wouldn't be the same without me.

Hill and Jackson's fine x2. It should be more for being a stupid SOB.

dont forget JVG's $100,000 on that list for saying that the league officials had it in for Yao...

The bigger the fine, most likely the coach is right and exposing David "The Don" Stern's crooked empire.

I think there is a difference between complaining about officials and going on for 1 or 2 days about conspiracy theories and questioning the integrity of the league.

The league lost a lot of integriety with phantoms calls for WADE in last yrs title match against the Mavs.

Everybody and their mama knows DAVID STERN hates Mavs owner Mark Cuban !

Isiah fined $50,000 for criticizing the refs? Somethin' ain't right here.

Phil Jackson got hit with the same for saying there was a witch hunt against Kobe. The Lakers organization got fined an additional $50K for it too.

Another reason to root for the Mavericks to win it this year. Stern being forced to turn over the Larry O'Brien trophy to Cuban would be GOLDEN.

Yep, this has been going on for years. And former officials have stated as such. Ed Rush stated that during some interview. But it has worked both ways, Jordan was called for far more fouls on his part when he played at MSG as well as the rare palming calls.

STars get the calls at every level. Home teams get the calls at every level. Good teams get the calls at every level. Coaches complain about this at every level. It's just that in the NBA coaches have a microphone to express their frustration.

In the end none of it matters. It's not going to change. It's been that way since the beginning of basketball times. So you can whine about it and still have nothing change. Or you can continue to buckle your chin straps play hard and magically teh calls will start coming your way. We are 6th in the league in foul shots, this notion that we are being cheated is just baby talk in my opinion.
I just hope that people will like me
