All I need to know about the ARiza trade was what Mike said on the Mike and the Mad Dog show. He said after speaking with Brown during the summer that Brown wanted to get Francis to replace Marbury but Francis was horrible. So bad that Brown didn't speak to him for 3 weeks (goes to show you what type of guy Brown is). Mike blamed Isiah for going against his better judgement to satisfy Brown. Also it points out that Thomas was trying to keep Brown happy. Based on the rumors last year, Thomas was looking to trade Marbury but was unable to do so. Mike joked that Brown thought it would be easy to trade Marbury once Francis got here. The fault belongs with IT because he made the mistake of trusting Brown and believing that Brown wanted to work together.

Crzymdups is right. People who were going right along with Brown calling him dellusional and limited and saying how Francis was a better player are proven wrong.

A GM's sole job is to build a team. I don't know what else to say. But I do know there is always an excuse here.
I just hope that people will like me

Bip, that's true of course but everyone knows that when the Knicks went after Brown, he was going to have player input. He bragged about that to Marbury. All those quotes from people on this forum and news outlets saying that you can't let the chef into the kitchen without getting him the ingredients what he wanted. Also noted, Mike on the show also disclosed that Isiah didn't want Brown wanted Lambier but Dolan trumped him and told him to go after Brown. The Knicks are in a weird situation where Dolan apparently has alot of input in team that is near Cuban like. I know Dolan always say that he knows basketball more than hockey so that's why he appears to be more involve on the Knicks side. That's one problem I have with just firing Thomas because Dolan is still here and he will only select someone who will do as he wishes.

you can bet our draft and free agent picks would have been different if we had not made that trade
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
