You guys suck.

He's under 25, 300lbs., has been diagnosed with a life-threatening heart ailment, and he WORKED HIS BUTT OFF to put up career numbers this year. Give him a break. He's a KID, and he did well this year. Just not well enough, though. Many believe he will continue to improve.

... and there's the problem. Many of us believe he hasn't. He's simply gotten more minutes this year, and is able to stay in games because he's avoiding any attempt at defense as to avoid any risk of fouling out. He's a little more efficient on offense because he's conserving his energy by not using ANY on defense. That's an honest and fair assessment. Offense is 50% of the game. So any of the good he does is canceled out by his lack of effort on the other end of the court. Unacceptable. Terrible. If everyone preached that kind of "patience", all NBA teams would give up 230 points a night.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

We all hope the best for him with his heart ailment. That's not even an issue. It's great great that he's alive and able to play sports. But he thought he was healthy enough to sign a near max NBA contract and we gave up as much as you give up for a franchise player. We can't use his health as an excuse.

He worked his butt off? How did he do that?

Its easy to have juice on offense when you don't try on defense and the only reason he had heart problems was he was taking supplements to lost lbs to cash in on his free agent contract

Based on True's picture in the other thread, that has to be the only-if any-thing he has worked off in the past 3 years.

It's not just that Curry is staying in games due to not defending. In truth, he seems to be staying away from the many offensive fouls that he used to commit. His offense HAS IMPROVED and you have to factor in the extra amount of attention he's getting as the reason he's not far more efficient. It's not that he's not playing any D, it's just that he doesn't consistently make the extra effort to go after penetrators. I think that given his importance to the offense, this is a wise choice. I don't think he'd be overly successful at stopping them anyway. He's so big and bulky that he'd end up getting lots of fouls just from body contact. I think he's got to learn WHEN to do it and when not to. Right now he's so hesistant that I think it's a bit too much, but there has to be a balance. He can't be out there going after every shot, cuz it won't work.

His man D is actually pretty good. His help D is the awful part.
