Thats a comparison I made few weeks back - Granger without 3pt range. Still, I would be reluctant to take him in the top 10.
I don't know Code, we made the mistake of not taking Granger 2 years ago with our lotto pick and look how he's turned out. Granger had the same flaws(shooting) as Green did going into the draft and since then he's really improved his shooting to the point where he's pretty good. I think they both have great work ethic and I wouldn't doubt for a second that Green wouldn't improve that J. Plus, Green has played in some huge games at Georgetown and he played like a all-star in all of them.
I wouldn't make the same mistake this team made with Danny Granger if we somehow found our way into the Top10.
With the talent in this draft, I can't justify taking Green, who's not spectacular on either end of the floor. He's solid but his quickness is average and his handle could use work. I think he'd have to guard 3s and might struggle in that department. Its difficult to predict these things but I'd put my money on Law, Brewer and even Marcus Williams before him.
I think Marcus Williams might jump up to some team who might convert him to play PG @ 6-7. If anyone has watched him--he can play the position albeit he was the 2-3 slasher for AZ. I think his size will ultimately move him up.
