Regarding Livingston, if we are going to continue building an offense centered around Curry, we should only sign guards who are good 3 pt shooters.

Going for a player who destroyed his knee is something this organization is famous for doing. That, and rushing them back. That, and giving up draft picks and young players FOR those players. Livingston's career would be in so much jepeordy if we got him, I'd actually feel sorry for him.

An interesting guy to bring up Briggs for the reasons you suggest (coming off the injury maybe the Clips decide to go in a different direction, etc...) but I say no way. First off that injury was so severe that he might never even play again. Plus I agree with Ira - with Curry firmly in place I want a more well rounded PG, a guy who can shoot the ball as well as pass and penetrate. I like Livingston's youth and height I guess (pre-injury) but he's not what I'd call a well rounded PG. Without the injury I'd say we'd be taking a chance on a real project with him. But with the injury.... I'd have to say no.

I totally agree, though, that we do need to start thinking about our PG situation for the future RIGHT NOW. God-willing, Marbury will be at the top of his game for the remainder of his contract. After that..... I agree, I don't think either Collins or Nate are the answer.

You know how I would go about doing this - I would really consider tanking the season next year. Think about it. We're not winning a championship next year right? We tank next season and in the process, we develop all of our young talent. That means Curry, Lee, Balkman, our 1st rounder and whoever else might still be here next season (Frye, Morris, Nate, Collins, etc.) become regular rotation guys and get heavy minutes right outta the gate. While doing that, we'll fast-track the development process on some of these guys (which'll be a plus) but unfortunately won't win many game in the process. But so what. No worries. On the surface, it looks like we're just making the commitment to developing youth but, in addition to that, we'd be putting ourselves in a position to draft our top-notch PG of the

...our top-notch PG of the future come NEXT YEAR'S DRAFT. You guys see some of the PG talent coming out in next year's draft? Derrick Rose, OJ Mayo, Darren Collison and DJ Augustin will all be in the lottery next year. Tell me you wouldn't want won of those guys in a Knick uniform. I know it's a dream and they won't do it, but Zeke talks about being unconventional when it come to improving the team. It doesn't get any more unconventional than that.

There will be some pretty good PG's available in next yrs draft. The one pg you didn't mention who I like most of all is Mike Conley jr. I was wondering if Ohio St,=. wins the whole thing, would he be tempted to come out this yr?

If they knicks could throw a 10-12 million dollar deal at Shaun and pay him to rehab to see where he is afterwards................... I'd do it.

The Knicks need to stay away from high paid but low output players and players with a history of injuries. Livingston's has got to be the worst NBA injury I've seen in 17 years.

Of course, welcome to the Knicks.
