The Lakers came off a 7-game losing streak (and Phil Jackson NEVER lost 7 in a row before) and Kobe got hit with some suspensions with those bows. He's pissed off and is in "**** ALL of you people" mode.

It's fun to see but yeah playing 2001 Iverson ball isn't the way to go, ultimately.

But at the moment, they're winning again and that's what matters.

I think the Suns proved, last season, why the Kobe show doesn't win in the playoffs.

Does that one playoff series really prove anything? Does the fact that the Suns have been bounced twice in a row prove that their running game doesn't win in the playoffs?

There is no such thing as one strategy working or not working in the playoffs. It depends on the makeup of your team and the makeup of the opposition. The Lakers could win it all playing the Kobe show, provided other conditions were right, just like the Suns could win it all playing the Nash and friends show, provided other conditions were right.
It's a team sport, not a 1 man show. Even Jordan knew this.

I'd bet bottom dollar that Jordan had plenty of streaks were he dominated an equivalent portion of the offense as Kobe has been doing recently. Doesn't mean Jordan's a villain and doesn't mean Kobe's a hero.

Look, I'm not anti or pro Kobe. And I agree that not one particular strategy works. However, since Shaq left, Kobe has been dominating that team and they've gotton nowhere. Yet, when the Lakers move the ball around, let Odom handle the ball a lot, and have Kobe play off the ball and let him score his points like that, and feed the post, the Lakers beat every team in the NBA. They were about to beat the Suns last playoff season doing that. It's how they were dominating so early this season and it's how they won the 3 championships. Make Shaq the go to guy, have Kobe feed off that, and move the ball around to their open and great 3 pt threats.

You guys are crazy. LA is winning since hes gone on this streak. He's taking away shots from Smush Parker, Luke Walton, and Brian Cook? God forbid. LA's best bet is having Kobe take 30 shots. They win

The Lakers are gonna win 46-47 games this year in a stacked Western Conference despite Odom and Luke Walton missing basically 1/3 of the season each. Thats absolutely amazing. If healthy they would have won 50+, and its all due to Kobe. And no, this isnt AI, hes not shooting 40% while getting his points. Kobe is playing on an incredible level right now

LOL Kobe goes 7-26fg against Memphis tonight. They have a chance to win the game and Odom inbounds the ball to Smush in the corner for an open look at the 3 and he misses it. Smush shot 6-15fg. As the ball comes off the rim it goes to Kobe and he has a chance to shoot it and tie but Gasol blocks his shot obtaining possession in the process, as Kobe falls to the floor. Kobe then proceeds to get up and drop an F-Bomb to Smush saying "You F'D Up", because he missed the shot. That play personifies why Kobe is bad for team basketball but yes he's a great indiividual talent.

Maybe Smush broke the play they were supposed to be running? Who knows. Not you.

As for yelling at teammates for shooting-- Jordan used to pull that garbage all the time. But when Jordan did it, he was just being a "competitor," right?

Who's talking about Jordan, let's just stick to Kobe. Typical Kobe defense mechanism jab Kobe let's bring up M.J. LOL!

If they are winning they are winning. Winners are not judged, period.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

LOL! Kobe keep this style of play going, you're assuring your team a first round exit. Very weird game by him.

That 97 draft was STACKED with scorers...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Wow! He took 44 shots! Every one of his team mates were in single digits in the category of shot attempts. Whoa!

I knew his style of play would come back to earth. It's different playing playoff caliber teams. LOL keep taking all those shots Kobe. I honestly feel he went on that scoring spree to grab hold of the scoring title. What's comical about it nobody cares with exception to maybe Arenas. They'll probably draw the Spurs and get swept.

The Lakers have now gone 2-5 since his scoring barrage. They are now a 7th seed and 2gms from the 8th spot with 5gms to go 3 tough remaining games ahead. That's exactly what a leader would want as his team heads into the playoffs
