Ok, I think this is a good time to get an idea of who is finally with me and who is still misguided. The Knicks are still horrible, fail to give an honest effort, can't beat really bad teams at home and now they're talking about how the plan is now to look for cap space in 2 years. I chose to do this with a poll so some people can remain anonymous, but feel free to come out with your disgust for Isiah, Dolan and this pathetic group running the Knicks.

isles, you have been right on a lot of the Knicks current affairs and a majority of the criticism is justified, but you go above and beyond my friend. It seems this urk you have against Isiah and this team has gotten far too personal. I remember especially a comment saying you hoped David Lee lost the 6th man award just to stick it to Isiah. I agree that playing for an award is about as retarded as they come, but to take your spite out on one of the only players that busts his ass and plays smart is just too much.
You don't enjoy any of the exciting times that this season has unfolded. Let loose a little man. Put a pause on your busy schedule of plotting Isiah's "accidental" death, or analysing how his lunch order is somehow detrimental to the team and enjoy the good times when they actually come along.

Of course the timing of the poll's going to be even more lopsided then normal, especially after last night's embarassment.

This from the guy who has been counting down every day of Bush's term for the last 2 years.

I never said that I hoped that Lee didn't get it to spite Isiah. I said that I hoped that he wouldn't win it if Isiah was only refusing to start him because he wanted him to win the 6th Man award and take credit for it. And Isiah is already on record asking for credit for Lee being in the running.

If Lee was coming off the bench because there was a better option as the starter and was in the running for the award I would never hope that he didn't win it if deserved. But starting Jerome James ahead of him and getting behind early because of it, makes me think that the coach had alterior motives.

Isles I've been with you from jump and didn't even know, when I started posting here. The reason why I'm here is because of Blueseats who presented a case against this regime that was commpelling and powerful on realgm. Not that I needed my eyes opened because I saw things unfolding but he brought up the behind the scenes details that fueled my specualtions and skpeticisms.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

only 55%? And this during the darkest time of the year where rats flee the sinking ship, and only 55% are with islesfan??? Man... wonder what the result would be when the knicks are on a little win streak.

The % has swung towards those who are with Islesfan, only due to the recent losing. If this team is a bit more healthy and wins a few more games, it's solidly in the 7th spot right now. I hardly see this as some kind of evidence that this team is way off in terms of what they hoped to accomplish this year.

Let's be honest about one thing, this team isn't so much changing direction as it is FINALLY starting to actually define the direction of the team. Some of you are just plain LOST when it comes to describing what Isiah has been doing with this team. When you speak of changing the plan many times, you CLEARLY don't know what the hell you're talking about. The idea is to change the team until you have a winner, so why was he supposed to stick with a team that was NOT going to win? Do you want him to just sit idle like Layden did? Make no effort to try and improve the team? Also where exactly is the plan that West had? What about Ainge, Knight, King or any of the other GM's whose teams aren't any better than ours after all of these supposed great plans they've been executing. So far only SA, Det, Phx and Dallas have really impressed me with how they've built their teams. They've been consistently good for years.

Does Wash actually have a plan or do they just happen to have a decent team that has ZERO chance of winning a title? Besides the fact that they have LeBron, is Cleveland a well executed plan? PLEASE!!! You guys seem to think that it's easy to just put together a great team. Many teams like Chicago and Boston have been at it since before Isiah ever got here. Chicago has finally gotten pretty good, but do you honestly think they can win a title?

This Knick team is just getting started. We at least have a sense of direction now. We have to fill some needs in order to refine that direction, but it's a far cry from what we had before. We have to allow Isiah to keep working on this and developing this team. You want to judge him on this NEW GROUP which has only been together for a little less than 2 years. Forget about the 2 years before this when we were still looking to make a go with H2O and KT. That's a different group and a different mindset. KEEP UP WITH CURRENT EVENTS!!! THOSE DAYS ARE OVER AND IT'S A NEW TEAM NOW!!! If you don't have the stomach to deal with a team that's rebuilding then stop watching. The rest of us REAL FANS, can stick it out and watch this team grow.

When did NY fans turn into such fair weathered pansies? You claim to want a rebuild and yet you can't even stomach this. You would somehow prefer that the team lose big for 3 years in hopes that we can get the #1 overall pick or somewhere in the top 5. I don't think you could take it. I think if the team decided to do that, i'd be writing to about 20 people and the rest of you would be watching women's field hockey or something.

It doesn't seem that you understand the concept of a plan. Having a plan doesn not mean that you "stick with a team that was not going to win."
